"Quaint community spaced out across two blocks of the Highlands neighborhood. The rooftop terrace hosts a beautiful view of highlands, lohi, Lodo, and downtown Denver. From the west facing apartments you can see the snowy peaks of the Rocky Mountains. This dog friendly community is close to a lot of walkable areas in the neighborhood. Close to great restaurants, shopping, and one of Denver's best cheese shops St Killian's. Get a slice of heaven from Pizza Alley or indulge in a great cup of coffee at Café Zuri. The staff here is dedicated to ensuring that you will enjoy your new home."
"I’ve lived here for almost 10 months now and have had a wonderful experience in this building. I was surprised to see as many 1 star reviews as there currently are, as I’ve never experienced any of those issues. Parking is cheap compared to the market ($75/month vs $100-$200/month), building is quiet and secure, yes there are some obnoxious fees like valet trash, but most Denver buildings have those and more. All in all, it’s a great neighborhood and building. This is just my experience - I’ve never had major maintenance/community issues."
"I have truly loved my time living at Highlands32. The management and maintenance staff are amazing, quick and so helpful!! Any question or issue I have has been resolved quickly. Daniel, Rob and the rest of the team truly goes above and beyond which makes a huge difference. I highly recommend living here!!!!"
"Have lived here for over 2 years. As others have mentioned, the location is top notch but thats about it. With the rate of turnover at the front office, it's hard not to get the impression that the management company treats their employees terribly - and that management style is a good reflection of this entire place. Quite honestly I feel bad for the front office staff that has to deal with the myriad issues at Highlands32, because their superiors/managers clearly don't care *at all* about the quality/security of the place, then make the front-office staff deal with the blowback. Frankly I'm not sure how the on-site people here could ever succeed, given the constraints management has imposed on them. The quick version: Highlands32 is all about optics, and nothing else matters. While it photographs well, the general quality of the units, and the maintenance of the place, would be categorized as super budget. First and foremost, SECURITY IS HORRIBLE If security is of any value to you whatsoever, LIVE SOMEWHERE ELSE. The secured garage has been broken into twice in the past month (car windows smashed out, with the person even having the time/audacity to steal a scooter parked in front of a car). The management company has had such a lackadaisical approach with the security systems (a *single* camera that can see where cars pull in and that's it, although the garage is much larger and has other entryways) that they basically throw their hands up and say we can't do anything. Myself and a few of the other residents have had to pepper management with requests, and reviews like this, to get them to review security footage, and the basic response is "you should file a police report". Which is true, we should. Also true is that Highlands32 should invest the $$$ to have more than *a single freaking camera* installed in some areas. But again - they can say "we have cameras", which sounds great, but it provides absolutely no value if its *ONE* camera covering a tiny portion of any given space. General Quality Cabinet handles fall off, closet doors are improperly mounted and come off rails, and appliances are bottom dollar. That said - the appliances tend to work, which is great. I can only imagine we'll be charged upon moving out for any service calls made to fix things that were super shoddily constructed in the first place. Cleanliness The stairwells haven't been cleaned for probably a solid year and a half, and they don't seem to touch anything inside the building besides the lobby. So again - optics first; the Highlands32 motto. They have a dog run area, which is a tiny little spot next to one of the buildings with *turf on it*. It's disgusting. It's great that Highlands32 can say they have a dog run, but again, it's purely for the optics: "our apartments even have a dog run"! Community Damage Perhaps the most demonstrable example of the management company's approach to building these apartments is the wanton disregard for the environmental and community damage caused by one of the drainage systems of building C (but it's "up to code"!). It's pictured below. Instead of plumbing water run off (presumably from air conditioning?) to some buried pipe / sewage, they just DUMP WATER RIGHT BEHIND THE BUILDING INTO THE ALLEY. This water is flowing year round, 24/7, non-stop. The area right where it comes out has become slippery with an algae-like growth on it, and the water runs right down the middle of the alley such that it destroys and ruts out the concrete. Frankly I have no idea how Highlands32 hasn't been sued for this, as it's a danger to walk on (near where the water exits), it makes the alley stink, and it's an epic waste of water. It must be in the tens of thousands of gallons per year, given that it never. stops. running. I've never seen a building of this capacity with that type of setup, and there are absolutely solutions to it - H32 just didn't want to spend the money, because it was "up to code"."
"Excellent location near several shops and restaurants, secure mail system, fitness center, and a top notch rooftop view with a grill/outdoor seating/televisions! The vast majority of residents are business professionals who are 5-10 years out of college. In turn, the noise level within the complex is minimal. The complex is pet friendly as well."
