"Great customer service! I went to tour a 1x1 and just was just wonderful . The apartment she showed me is very beautiful and a great size for me. Not only is Juliet kind and friendly but she is very knowledgeable about the area and gave me great recommendations. I am not to familiar with this area and I was pleased that she told me what was near by. The property is well maintained for being a little older. It's a small quaint place which fits me . And Juliet knows what she is doing! :) I love how considerate she was of my time and I want to let management know because of her, I am putting in an application today."
"Pros: -GREAT location- walking distance to the G line train and Olde Town. -Short drive to the grocery store and Costco. -Quiet complex all units are studio/1brs. -NO BUGS in my unit (I assume if other units had an issue, they’d have been in mine too) -Nice faux hard wood floors in the living area. -Has small dishwasher and wall AC unit (note: you will need high powered fans to move the cool air from the living room to the bedroom) -Has new washer/dryer units in the complex, though the 3rd party service company has screwed up the equipment labeling and it took over a half hour on hold to talk to a CSR then explain the situation to get the equipment fixed. -Bluetooth locks on the doors to prevent weirdos from making themselves at home. -I always felt safe walking around the area at all hours. Cons: -Lack of responsive communication from all leasing and maintenance staff unless you make a point of contacting them frequently. (Note: this did get better, but it could still be improved further) -Took maintenance 2 months to replace my broken disposal even though Lowe’s and Home Depot are 2 blocks away. They also haven’t respond to emergency requests in a timely fashion. I locked myself out at one point and despite numerous calls to the after hours line I never got a call back. -Had a rat in my apartment (only saw the one, which my cat killed, but her behavior indicated others) took them 3 days to respond and get pest control out after making the issue known in every method possible way (note: lease terms say they have to respond in 48hrs). -My mailbox key opens about 4 other mailboxes but I’m honest and only open mine. (Discovered by accident when I first moved in and couldn’t remember which was my box). Have had packages stolen after delivery, so have deliveries sent to a secure location that isnt your apartment. -North facing parking lot is extremely treacherous in winter even with regular plowing and shoveling- buy some micro spikes to walk to your car/take out your trash. They’re cheaper than a broken leg. -Billed individually for all utilities plus a $40 “CAM” fee (communal area maintenance - basically an HOA fee) plus $6 3rd party billing fee. Then water, sewer, garbage, gas and pest control are also charged individually. Single person living in a 600sqft apartment while working FT, utilities plus fees (not including electric) were $130 for the bill paid for February."
"I live at Water Tower currently and should've left before I renewed this lease. The leasing office doesn't take care of issues surrounding these apartments. My door has been broken for over a year, there mice in my apartment, oven is broke, bathroom fan is broke, nothing works in this apartment and I've told the leasing office like 10 different times over the past year and few months and nothing gets done (not to mention Water Tower doesn't even have a management office here, gotta go 4 blocks down the street to the Perch) In replies to reviews, they say they care about tenants...Don't believe that, they are slum lords and AMC is a terrible property management company. I see why this property has such low reviews, it wasn't like this when we first moved in before AMC took over. Once AMC took over, this property and the Perch started being ran by slum lord managers with slum lord practices. If you're looking for a place? Do yourself a favor, go anywhere else that isn't managed by AMC. They tack on charges on your monthly late that wasn't disclosed in your lease, they charge for pest control (that wasn't even told to us) and then have the audacity to allow for mice to be in the walls of the building and ignores complaints about this? Pretty wild if you ask me Edit: 3 months later came back to say nothing is still fixed and things are worse now. Water leaks from the ceiling in the bathroom, kitchen light no longer works, all that fun stuff. Stay far away from this place Edit again: they respond and say they wanna help...No they don't. They made my experience here a nightmare, Sarita and Shanna are terrible property managers and the stuff in my apartment is still broke not to mention AMC's other building, the Perch, has roaches and bed bugs along with Water Tower"
"I have lived hear for close to 8 years. The previous owner and management was great. They maintained the property and were always reachable and the prices were reasonable. The previous owner sold the property and since then NOTHING has been maintained. The new owner has hired 2 different management companies. The first company did nothing to maintain the property and then used our personal information as ad revenue. The latest management company AMCLLC also does nothing to maintain the property. For 3 months I have been telling them to fix the gutters because they are not draining, the water is dumping onto the electrical boxes and pooling by the foundation. The water that pools by the foundation has been leaking into my apartment damaging the foundation and the carpet and causing a fire risk by dumping on the electrical boxes. Despite pestering them on an almost weekly basis for 3 months they keep gaslighting me saying they will resolve it. I got an email this week from a "new regional" manager that says they will fix it but based on past experience I have very low hopes that this will happen. In addition to utter negligence and constant lying they have obfuscated rent hikes in the most recent lease in the form of "utilities" they added a fee for maintaining the property $25 a month for them to do their jobs, a $10 "pest control" fee that when asked how frequently they will be visiting I was informed that it was a savings fund to be used only when needed and lastly a $6.50 "service fee" for the privilege of paying them money. this last fee is payed to a third party company they contract to bill us "utilities" none of these are utilities they are operational costs that are all part of what I pay rent for. the fact that they don't actually maintain the property make the $25 fee an even worse insult. DO NOT RENT HERE. THIS HAS BECOME A SLUM. YOU CAN FIND AND DESERVE BETTER."
"I’ve lived here for 3 years they have switched mangment 3 times the new mangment has yet to fix our shared washer, our shower had a leak 2 years ago and we have red tape covering our tile that has yet to be fixed. Don’t live here. They won’t answer emails or phone calls they don’t know how to run an apartment period. It’s been 6 weeks of trying to get a washer fix. They raised our rent which doesn’t make sense the fact nothing is fixed. They will gaslight you saying they had no idea of anything which I have plenty of proof they do. They run another complex which they take way better care then us. The red tape coving the dry wall of our shower where tile should be is getting moldy. It is becoming a unsafe living space which they are supposed to provide a healthy living space. Don’t know how else to get these peoples attention."
