"I am not a friend of the staff (though I really like them), a marketer, or anything like that. I am just a dude who wanted a relaxing place near my work to live. Over the past year, I have not had a single issue with the place I live or community. The price is reasonable, given all the ammenities and safety of the community. On more than one occasion I have left my car unlocked. One time I even left my garage door open over night and nothing happened. Security is always around. The location is amazing - nestled between industrial properties, a creek, and a quaint neighborhood perfect for early morning walks. I have no regrets and am happy to have maded the decision to rent here."
"I would leave zero stars if I could. Maintenance is unhelpful and cannot actually fix any of the issues - in my experience with them the problems have actually been made worse or ignored altogether. There has been a leak and electrical issues that have been problems throughout my entire time here. Management has not been helpful either. In fact, 99.9% of the time they completely ignore any attempt to communicate with them. For what they promise and charge I expect more. I am a realistic and low maintenance person, but the experience of living here has been entirely unacceptable. If you're looking for a place to live, look elsewhere. This place is a scam and most of the "positive" reviews are fake."
"Clovis does not care about tenants or maintaining their apartments. They only care about money, their bonuses and optics. Once you move in do not expect much from the office or maintenance staff. A lot of the good reviews on here were left from actual staff members or people who are friends with staff members. The head of maintenance actually left a review as well. Do not expect honesty, integrity or community here. I only stayed here out of necessity, but they made sure I knew I was not welcome and did everything they could to get me to leave. They cover up bad reviews or have them taken down, so you do not see the truth about this place. There are much nicer, friendlier, cleaner and more affordable apartments elsewhere. I would recommend looking somewhere else and save yourself the trouble of living at Clovis. They will also charge you for normal wear and tear when you move out."
"Without a doubt, have never lived here but as a FedEx driver interacting with the staff compared to the other apartment complexes I deliver to, they have been the sweetest staff to me. Which is super nice & if I could afford to live at this property I would in a heart beat as their maintenance crew is amazing & on top of duties. I would highly recommend this property to anyone that looking for an amazing place to live."
"This is an update from a review I left over a year ago about my experience at Clovis. The staff and property are great, but I caution anyone to be very careful about the move out process because of the policies the parent company has in place. I was warned by the manager at the time to make sure I checked my resident portal to take care of any utilities, etc that wouldn't get billed until after I moved out. I did that. But then Clovis shut down my access to the resident portal BEFORE adding a fee for doing some minor repainting in my former apartment. No one attempted to contact me by phone or email, but they claim they mailed me a "move out statement" with the fee on it. I never received that (probably because I had moved and set up USPS mail forwarding) and they sent me to collections for it. When I asked them about this they claim their policy is to automatically send people to collections after 21 days. I could see this being practical if they actually made real attempts to inform people of money they still owed - I would have happily paid it immediately if I knew about it. Instead they seem to have a policy set up to send as many people as possible to collections which is just really unprofessional. Be very careful when it's time to move out."
