"I had not been to De Vries in a very long time. Went today ( 9/2/22) and they had 1 sm. basket of tomatoes, a few cucumbers, some onions a few green peppers and not much else in the way of fresh produce and veggies. Quite a disappointing visit this time, I’m afraid. The prices seemed to be higher than other similar produce shops."
"The owner and his daughter treated me with absolute disrespect while I was here. I helped him sell his forklift and agreed on a 10% commission when I bring him the buyer, which I did. He didn't hold up to his word. So that makes him a LIAR and a THIEF. He thinks people that work for him will do it for free. To add to the fire when I came to pick up the forklift to deliver to the buyer his daughter proceeded to yell and me and laugh hysterically when I told her to calm down after I asked that she move her truck a few feet forward. I would avoid this place unless you like overpaying for your fruits and vegetables."
"We have always came here for our pumpkins and loved it. Nine years.and today when we went the clerk that was there was super condescending to not only my entire family but my grandkids too. We had two stems break on two pumpkins and asked if we could replace them. She simply looked at me and said " well you broke it didn't you?so no". We spent around 250.00 in there and were shocked by the poor customer service. We won't be back."
"I really love this place, a good selection of produce , dried beans and canned goods. Plus my children adore the vintage tractor collection. It’s obviously more expensive than like city market, but if we don’t buy stuff from these places they will disappear along with all the agriculture in the valley."
"This is the first time we've been here and we were nicely surprised. The vegetables were beautiful and the people were pleasant, informative, helpful. The lady there even have me a couple of recipes for the produce I bought. Will certainly be going back for more!"
