"Colorado’s culinary scene is on the rise thanks to people like Chef Paul at Ukiyo. Every one of the 18 courses was well thought out, pleasantly surprising, and had just the right mix of creativity and variety. We will be back for another amazing meal soon that’s worth every penny. Thank you to all the staff for setting the perfect mood for an amazing dining experience. Chef Paul, please never stop doing what you’re doing."
"This was the experience of a lifetime. All 18 courses were delightful and immaculately displayed. On top of that, the Japanese whiskey selection was out of this world. The cocktails were carefully crafted, unique and delicious. The bar man expertly guided me through the most extravagant whiskey options that I’ve never seen elsewhere. The whole dinner was expertly curated with brief narrative bites between each dish. Can’t say enough. It’s truly something you can do for a very special occasion and not be disappointed. Highly recommend!"
"Excellent experience! Great dishes and inspired flavors. Definitely not all sushi. The best part was the personal service. It’s small enough that you really feel pampered and there was some great conversation between the other guests too. Such a fun time and some of the best Japanese-ish food in Denver right now!"
"With limited seating the space felt really intimate but not cramped in the slightest, more like front seat and behind the scenes look on the passion it takes to craft the experience. From the moment we walked in all our needs were attended to, including a couple allergies they made sure to account for and make substitutions so I didn’t feel left out. The menu itself was curated to perfection, and It was so much more than a simple sushi omakase, but a mixture of tastes and textures from around the world brought forth from the chefs personal experience. The courses were familiar enough to be comforting but accented in ways that were both surprising, delightful, and everything was presented beautifully. Of the many quality meals I’ve been fortunate to have in my life, Ukiyo is a stand out even among the finest establishments. As an artist myself, I can see the love chef Paul has poured into this place and the only reason they don’t have a star yet is because they just opened. Do yourself a favor, trust the chef."
"Our experience at Ukiyo extended far beyond just the food. It was the type of meal where we completely lost track of time. The staff was humble and welcoming, but incredibly knowledgeable. The multi-course menu had nods from all over the world. We loved how each dish told a story and unlocked memories from our own travels. A must try in Denver."
