"The Florida Virtual learning programs was terrific, I learned a lot and at my own pace, the teachers were all very good at what they did, however the principal by the name of Joan Dawe was very discouraging towards me during my experience with the Virtual learning program as I'm sure she was with a lot of students. I worked on my homework everyday for 3+ hours and she would send my mother emails about how I wasn't completing the standard amount of work I was supposed to. If you're a teacher especially a principle it's necessary to understand that every child completes tasks at different rates for as long as they're putting forth effort. I was very frustrated because I was doing my work everyday in addition to working very hard to graduate and in return I was being scrutinised, put down by this principle who was supposed to be encouraging me. Power trip at its finest I suppose. I did graduate though! Very proud of myself."
