About the Business

Guidepost Montessori at Longmont

Guidepost Montessori at Longmont is a primary school located at 1011 Dry Creek Drive in Longmont, Colorado, United States. Our institution offers programs for children from 6 weeks to 6 years old, including Nido, Young Toddler, Toddler, and Children's House. Our approach is focused on empowering each child to achieve independence through a hands-on curriculum and personalized learning. We strive to create an environment where curiosity thrives, independence grows, and academic excellence is a natural outcome.

At Guidepost, we partner with parents to help their child grow and thrive. We aim to provide an education that equips each child with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to lead a successful and independent life. Our mission is to cultivate joy in the pursuit of knowledge and personal growth.

Montessori education is renowned worldwide for its positive impacts on academics and social-emotional skills. Our institution offers an environment tailored to meet the developmental needs and interests of children, allowing them to learn advanced skills at an accelerated pace. Students at Guidepost Montessori often achieve milestones such as reading by age 4 and mastering advanced math concepts by the end of Kindergarten.

Our Children's House program provides a capstone kindergarten year for 3- to 6-year-olds, where students experience an explosion of literacy and make advanced gains across the curriculum. Following elementary, students have the opportunity to continue their Montessori education at our middle and high school, the Academy of Thought & Industry.

We offer year-round, extended-day programming at no extra cost to provide consistent care and developmental support. Parents are invited to be part of their child's journey through daily updates, milestone meetings, and parent-child events. Our goal is to cultivate joy as you watch your child grow and thrive.

Guidepost Montessori aims to make the best education accessible to children and parents. Our curriculum fosters independence, creativity, and a love of learning. Book a school tour today to experience the transformational education at Guidepost Montessori.

"This school should not be a Montessori. None of the teachers in my child's classroom are Montessori certified. At the end of January 2024 the head of school quit, followed by her assistant, and most teachers. They closed several classes since, and children have been put in the care of temporary guides. My 4y old had 6 teachers in the past two months."

"We love Guidepost! All of the guides are warm and attentive. The school is bright and clean and the staff are very easy to communicate with. My kiddo is more focused and plays more independently using the skills learned here. All of the staff greet us by name, it’s very welcoming and a nice environment."

"We can’t say enough good things about guidepost!! Every single person is absolutely wonderful and cares about my children like their own. My sons teacher has gone above and beyond the help my very energetic son thrive in his curriculum, staying calm and focused. She’s even helped with his tongue tie exercises when he had the procedure done. He is an entirely different kiddo and we are so thankful. My daughters classroom is perfectly suited for allowing her to grow and advance. Her teacher is so kind and caring. All the guides and teachers are highly educated and motivated to help our children excel in the Montessori curriculum. They truly embody Maria Montessori! We are so grateful we found guidepost!"

"My kid went here until he was too old to attend anymore and it is an incredible place! They really know how to set up a kid for independence and to have a successful future! I have a newborn on the way and we already have a spot reserved for him to attend and cannot wait to see how fast he learns and grows. This place not only excellently prepares kids for grade school but for life overall. All the way from the staff to the front of house this Montessori is exceptional!"

"My son has been coming here for a couple months now and I have been beyond pleased with the staff. My son suffers from sensory issues and they have been so kind and helpful. My son loves coming to school and tells me everyday that he loves his teachers. I’ve seen a major improvement in his confidence and independence since coming here. Overall we are so happy here and everyone has been so welcoming!"
