"This was an awesome experience! It was my first mystery theater, but many that I attended with had plenty to compare to, and they were impressed. An intriguing storyline, with lots of crowd inclusion. The actors were great, and the food was delicious. A healthy portion of chicken, roasted potatoes and a lightly oiled salad with an oatmeal chocolate chip dessert. It was a wonderful night of food, laughter and mystery!"
"It was the first time I had been to Adams Mystery Playhouse. It was easy to get to from I-25, parking was limited and there was construction in the area. The food was good. The show and the actors were hilarious and the environment was good. We went to a show in the upstairs room. I've not been to a show in the lower room. The building was handicap accessible and they had a handicap accessible restroom. Restrooms were limited but it is an older building. It didn't cause a problem, you just had to wait for the restroom. Overall it was a very fun, affordable time and I would go again."
"So much fun! And the food was great! We each had 2 cookies, they were homemade and warm!"
"My experience began on a sour note when the owner shouted at me as I pulled off a public street into an adjoining public alleyway. It seems the owner could benefit from adopting a more relaxed approach, particularly when it comes to allowing adults to make their own parking decisions. Later, he displayed discourtesy towards me for recording a brief clip of my team joyfully dancing around the table. Despite his repeated announcements that the show was 'copyrighted,' he certainly doesn't hold the copyright to the song being played to which my colleagues were dancing (which is the only thing I wanted to record). Given the significant sum we paid for our team's attendance, I found it highly inappropriate to be treated like a child—dictated on where to park and publicly reprimanded for capturing 30 seconds of video. The owner felt so strongly about this that he even interrupted his own dance performance to single me out. Setting aside my unpleasant interactions with the autocratic owner, the show itself was excellent. Those who are fans of improv will find it very entertaining. My colleagues thoroughly enjoyed themselves, which somewhat justified the cost. The dinner, however, was underwhelming and could have been skipped. I won't be returning—not because the show was subpar, but because of the owner's rudeness."
"Tried this spot to celebrate a friend's birthday. I've been to dinner theater before, but unfortunately did not have a positive experience here. The parking attendant turned away me as a single female wearing heels from the parking lot, saying it was for carpool only...then at the beginning of the show announced that there was more parking available in the lot. The drink line is quite long and the bar is cash only, so be sure to plan ahead for that. The wine selection leaves much to be desired. The show itself pretty much revolves around audience members getting made fun of...which to me is just cheap humor and not my cup of tea. So if you are out to celebrate something, just know that you will get called out and made fun of for things like mispronouncing words, or any other quirks about you that the "actors" can call out. The food: everyone gets the same thing, regardless of dietary restrictions like vegetarianism or gluten free. The food just shows up and then you are pressured to eat quickly so they can get the show started. Our table was asked about 5 times if we were through with our plates when we were obviously still eating. The interior feels like a nursing home with kitschy decor and uncomfortable chair. I hate to think that people visiting Denver think that this is an example of what our arts and culture scene is here...there are so many better options and I do not recommend. :("
