Samantha Toale

"I began seeing Ms. Toale while she was Mastermind clinic. After our first session on March 30th, we scheduled out next session for April 5th the following week. On March 31st, I was notified that Ms. Toale was leaving the clinic and our next appointment was cancelled. I never heard from Ms. Toale concerning a reschedule. I located Ms. Toale's website and contacted her office for a follow up which was then scheduled for April 7th. Two hours before our session, I was informed by text that our session was cancelled. I called Ms. Toale who informed me she was having an asthma attack. I was sympathetic (suffering at times myself) and so we rescheduled. I asked Ms. Toale at the session to look into EMDR for me and she told me she would post and ask for recommendations. On April 18th, having heard nothing, I texted her to inquire. She told me no one had responded but she would repost. On April 21st, I went to my appointment at Ms. Toale's office and it was dark. I called and texted and finally gave up. Nearly three hours later, I finally heard from her and was informed her scheduler was sick and she had been in the ER with a migraine. She did apologize several times but at the same time did not take professional accountability for this lapse. I found Ms. Toale intelligent and informed as a therapist (though I had to keep an eye on the time as she talked almost as much as I did). Given the short duration of our therapy, I would conclude that whatever is happening in Ms. Toale's life is preventing her from being a professional, reliable and accountable therapist and I would not recommend her at this time for clients. I never heard from her regarding the EMDR recommendation and three lapses in scheduling in less than a month is too much."
