"Love the staff! Very helpful with scheduling and moving me around to get me in sooner. Dr. Shaffi explained everything, was very caring before and after all procedures. Still under his care and very happy."
"I had a very positive experience with the staff and procedure. I found everyone to be very professional, and they took the appropriate time to answer my questions and make me feel comfortable. Kudos both to Dr. Tishon and Mark, the MRNA (anesthesiologist). The "negatives" were before the procedure. I had returned my paperwork more than 2 weeks ahead of schedule (as requested on the paperwork). I got a call the day before my procedure asking me to bring all my paperwork with me. When I told them I had already brought it in, she went searching for it and found it. I was also initially told to arrive 30 min early. Then that call the day before I was told to arrive 45 min early. No biggie. Shortly thereafter I got an auto email reminder of my appointment saying arrive 30 min early. Neither of these negatives were a big deal in my book but it did feel a little bit like the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing, thus 1 star deduction."
"After having a colonoscopy I was rushed out the door with little concern for proper discharge information. The lack of care and concern to communicate what to avoid in the post op days ahead, I ended up I the emergency room with severe pain. The doctor did not follow up after the procedure. He was a visiting Dr. from another practice. According to him he was abs us still unfamiliar with discharge procedures at this office. Even more reason to come talk with me. I still do not have pathology and had this done in August. This facility is not taking any responsibility for the lack of discharge care. However on page eight of the written instructions it tells me exactly what to avoid. Too bad the doctor and staff were so careless to not go over their own written instructions with me would have saved me thousands of dollars in emergency medical bills to ensure I was okay. We will not go back and I am very disappointed in the lack of concern once they were aware of the issue. Please don’t trust them."
"I am shocked to see some of the reviews of this place, though I found the clinic's response to some of the 1 * reviewers to be very adequate and also informative. I actually love The Digestive Diseases Clinic. I have had nothing but excellent care there. I had an endoscopy a few months ago to diagnose mild gastritis and esophagitis. I made necessary diet changes. I really appreciate that this Clinic does not try to force medication on patients, but rather encourages diet changes, and truly appreciates when those diet changes are made. I love the PA, whose name I cannot remember and I am so sorry about that because I actually think he is fantastic. He is so encouraging and I love how he truly appreciate the changes that I have made in my diet so that I can bring myself back to wellness. He makes me feel like a rockstar! Dr. Shafi did my endoscopy and I adore him. he came and spoke with me afterwards and was very encouraging, and again encouraged me to make diet changes to help my symptoms, rather than turning to medication. I love the way they think. I have other things going on with me, injuries and things of that nature, so I attend a lot of appointments and I get tired of having to beat my drum about not being able to take narcotic pain medication. being in an office where patients are encouraged to make life changes instead of turning to medicine is very refreshing. Don't get me wrong, they will prescribe the medication for you if you wanted. I am just glad that they are so encouraging with someone like me, and I don't like taking pills. I have found the staff to also be incredibly awesome. The front desk staff always has a lovely greeting for me every time I come in. They are friendly and they act like they have seen me every day for the last 3 years. They always seem to recognize me with a welcoming familiarity that I really like, considering visits like these aren't always my favorite. additionally, the support staff during my endoscopy was fantastic. I will never forget the nurse who gave me the anesthesia, although I wish I could remember her name, but under the circumstances sometimes it's difficult. But she was extremely comforting. She put her hand on my arm and called me by name and told me she would be right there with me for the whole thing. I felt so at ease it was amazing. Especially because I had only had one previous visit to the office, where they had ordered the endoscopy. So I didn't know the staff very well. It saddens me that other people have had not so great experiences. But it doesn't change my mind because I truly feel this office more than adequately meets my needs, and they make me laugh, and that's important to me. And I see them next week. Have a nice day!"
"I have had a few office visits, and a couple of procedures done here. The *waiting room* and furniture is a bit on the older/worn side, it is true. But, the exam rooms and procedure rooms are perfectly fine. The people I have dealt with there are all top notch, and I'm satisfied with my experiences."
