"My cousin had her 20 year wedding anniversary there this last summer and I booked a room. A few days before the event I had a change of plans to attend a close family funeral. I wasn’t able to get ahold of anyone on the phone or chat to see what my options were for reimbursement or if I had to try and find someone in the party to take the reservation for me. Luckily, my cousins husband talked to ownership while they were there the weekend of the event and they got it rebooked and they said they’d reimburse me. I have not heard back from calls (their voicemail inbox was full for the few months I was trying to get ahold of them). I did finally get a response on Facebook messenger from someone that manages their Facebook account and they gave me a number to text because she was not employed at the Rooster and apparently they are better at responding to texts. It’s the end of October and the event was in June and I still have not seen my money back or even heard from anyone that works at the Rooster. In fact, I went back to message them via Facebook again today and their account no longer exists. If the rest of my family didn’t actually go to the event and have a great time (apparently it’s a great place when you’re there), I would think this business is a scam. Still considering it. Go camping instead, it’s gorgeous out there! I gave one star because none is not an option."
"I lived around this area for 12+, I’ve always wanted to come here…. I finally got my chance and it was amazing! Super clean, super friendly staff, they gave great recommendations on food, wonderful drinks! If I could give more stars…. I would!!!"
"I don't recommend going here if you want even decent service the waitreses were disrespectful. We came and waited a whole half and hour with no service so we asked for menus then when we were ready to order we told them and they said the closed the kitchen till five which wasn't for another hour so we waited and then it hit five so we asked and they said they weren't open still then a little later we asked me they told us they ran out of everything we wanted here's the best part while we were waiting for the kitchen that was "closed" to re open people who came in way after us got served there food and to add to it the cooks and staff seemed wasted. It was a 45 minute boat ride and we now are leaving no food all hungry. smh"
