"My experience trying to book an appointment with this center has been incredibly frustrating. After months of trying to get into their system, I finally secured an appointment in September, only to be told to reschedule for October when I was just 10 minutes late. Life happened, and I couldn't make it in October. When I called in December, they asked for a new referral, which meant another visit to my doctor's office and more waiting. After multiple calls and hours on the phone, I was told they now had the referral but needed my records. Despite waiting for them to call me, no one did. Fast forward to March, and after another lengthy phone call, I was told Dr. Eric M. Westerman wouldn't see me because of a history of no-shows. Why wasn't this communicated to me earlier? It's frustrating to have gone through all this only to be denied care. Avoid this office if you can! The long wait times on the phone, lack of assistance, and the way patients are treated by the doctor make it a place to steer clear of. While I understand the policy regarding no-shows, the way it was handled in my case was unnecessary and disappointing. I hope others don't have to go through what I did."
"Was told couldn't make an appointment without sending records; my doctor's office tried faxing records to two of their different fax numbers and they "didn't receive them". Finally, I mailed them in, with confirmation and tracking and they still "didn't receive the records" even with proof of delivery. Couldn't see building a relationship with a medical group that can lose records 3 times in 2 weeks, and every phone call was a 20 minute hold before the receptionist answered."
"I’ve been calling for an appointment, but everyone was either too busy to help or flat out said I couldn’t have one. Finally, ONE nice receptionist let me know to fax over my records and then we could make an appointment, so I did just that. I called after to make an appointment and my choices were to wait either until July or the end of next month and obviously I chose the soonest available. I then asked for the address as I’m new to the state and the person said it ridiculously fast so I asked for her to repeat it because I was writing it down and I’m not familiar with any of the street names. She huffed and said it way too fast for me to get the suite number. I had to ask her AGAIN with the hope that she’d slow down and not slur her words. She acted all agitated and as if I was wasting her time. If this is any indication of how the appointment will go then I feel I’ll have to find another rheumatologist. Completely RUDE. It is literally her JOB to help me, but it seems like I was an annoyance instead of a patient with a LIFELONG CHRONIC ILLNESS."
"Not impressed with this place at all. My better half has been trying to schedule an appointment here for a few weeks now at the recommendation of a few colleagues (who are all professionals in the medical field) and it's been nothing but a hassle. She's had a referral sent there, but the office never followed up. She then called them and found out their FAX machine is out of toner and that she'd have to have her referral sent again. When asked if they had an alternative, they said no. She then asked if they could call her to let her know when the FAX machine is ready, but they said they "are too busy to make outgoing calls." After hearing this, I was angered and called them myself on her behalf. They then told ME that she also needed to send a medical record to them. I asked why that hasn't been explained once to my better half in her previous 2 phone calls. The lady I spoke with didn't have an answer for this. On top of this, the receptionist sounded as if she was bored and seemed very obtuse about the situation that just happened. What kind of business can't make a 2 minute phone call to a customer who would be potentially paying THOUSANDS for treatment??? I sure hope the medical care is light years ahead of the customer service at this place. Ya'll are MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS and collect TONS of money from people - ACT LIKE IT! Your patients are in LOADS of pain and to hear that the only thing that's been holding people up for a couple weeks now is TONER for a FAX MACHINE is absolutely absurd... and then to tell your patients that you don't even have a minute to call them to let them know the machine has toner is insane. Unsure if we'll be pursuing an appointment at this place as it sure seems like they don't want the business. After all, they are too busy, as was made clear by the desk staff."
"Dr. Erhardt Is the coldest doctor I have met in a long time. He has zero compassion or understanding of what his patients are going through. He does what seems like nothing to help his patients find relief. He doesn’t do anything to help in the short term until insurance sends the medication. When you meet him there is no care or empathy. There seems to be no passion to help people. Zero emotion or willingness to do whatever it takes for his patients. Do not see this doctor. He will not go above and beyond."
