"I brought 2 of my kids here for their first cleaning a little over a year ago and Shanna the hygienist was so kind and patient with them. She immediately put them at ease with her kind demeanor and got them both in and out so quickly! I've been for two or three cleanings myself now and have had a cavity filled. Everyone in the office is friendly and professional. I was in today for my semi-annual cleaning with Dara. They always offer the laser bacteria cleaning, but it's easy to just say "no thanks" if you don't want the additional out of pocket cost. Their new dentist, Dr. Nguyen took a look at my teeth and seemed very friendly and professional, too. I'm really happy with the staff and the service they all provide!"
"Although I think the dentist seemed professional and competent, unfortunately, I wish I had not heard of this place. I heard of them right when I was coming due for my bi-annual free cleaning, and decided I would give them a try to see if they worked better than my previous dentist. I have excellent dental insurance, and when I got there we did the usual drill of figuring out the provider to make sure I was covered, etc. Of course, I was. When I sat down at the chair, right away they told me they would be doing a cleaning, and in addition, they would be doing two treatments that I'd never heard of being included in the cleaning. I am so glad I asked if it was free, because I was informed that it was not, in fact, it would run me around or slightly over $100 for both. I thought it was slightly unprofessional that they didn't mention the cost without me having to shake down the information out of them since, as it were, I was of the mentality that I was there for a free cleaning as my insurance allows for twice a year, but I let it go. I agreed to do one and pay for it, which was supposed to cost about $40, and declined the other one. My husband did the very same thing, so altogether we were expecting a bill of around $75-80 from it, which seemed on the high end of reasonable and like something we could do. Some months later, we got a bill for almost $200 for a "free" cleaning. When we called to ask why, we were told to just call insurance ourselves and find out answers, in the meantime, the amount was due. The most unprofessional part about it is that, when we came into the office, they ran the insurance and confirmed for us that the estimated out of pocket for us for the cleaning itself would be $0, because they were in network, we had not done our second cleaning that year yet, and basically they told us that it would be free except for the add-ons that we opted into. So, we were very reasonably expecting a bill of ~$75. Never in any other dentist's office have I EVER encountered this issue where I walked in, and was told the cleaning would be free, had it be verified, and later been sent a bill for $120 over what I was told I would have to pay, and have them, in addition, refuse to discuss it with us or even try to help us understand why this happened. I know insurance companies can be a blight, but this has never happened with ANY other dental office I have visited and I so wish I had stuck to my original dentist. Overall, it did seem like the dentist was competent, but their business practices are past what I can in good faith describe as an "honest mistake", and really seem like shady business practices when you factor in that 1. they told me the cleaning would be free, verified it while I was in the office, and now are attempting to collect $120 from us for it, and 2. tried to just say "we'll be doing the cleaning, plus two other procedures", while failing to mention that the procedures were not covered by most insurances and would almost certainly be costing me money out of pocket. I should have left the office as soon as that happened, but I stayed and gave them a chance, and very much regret doing so or giving them a cent of my business. I am never setting foot in their office again, and will be continuing to dispute the surprise not-so-free cleaning (despite being assured that it was covered, as it should have been, since I was and continue to be insured). I would caution anyone considering going to them about their shady business practices and warn them that they are likely to leave with some surprise bills for services that, if you are insured, you can and should receive for free."
