"When you walk in on the weekends, you are greeted by the delightful Rose w/a smile and warmth. Rose treats all the residents at Sandlewood as family and their family and friends also become family. She is knowledgeable, professional, helpful and guiding w/good humor, care, compassion amd empathy. Rose is a ray of light for many residents and their families."

"My parents were in Sandalwood from December until July of this year. We were extremely fortunate that they had a room open up in a time where few places accepted patients without Covid vaccinations. They allowed my parents to share a room in the skilled nursing section. My dad had dementia and was unable to do even the most basic things for himself. Mom had taken care of him to the best of her ability at home, along with paid aides, but she wore herself out to the point of an infection and fall resulting in a traumatic brain injury. The staff at Sandalwood went above and beyond to take care of my parents. While nothing is perfect, especially in times of staffing shortages, the few issues we had were immediately addressed with the administration. My parents main wishes were to stay together until the end. While they would have preferred that to be at home, it became impossible. Sandalwood allowed them to be together until Dad's passing. The staff was supportive of Dad in his decline and Mom in her stress at watching the love of her life slip away. They met in elementary school and were married over 69 years, so this is a loss deeper than most can imagine. After his passing, the staff was there for her when my sister and I couldn't be. Since Mom doesn't need skilled nursing, she has moved to an assisted living facility. She already misses the staff who became friends at such a dark time in her life."
