"I wish I had read reviews on Dr. Shah before going to see him. I was in enough pain that I ignored my rule of "if you can get an appointment in one day, nobody wants this doctor". I concur with everything Nicole and others have said about him. He is narcissistic, standoffish, and judgmental. I felt like he was sitting on his empire chair looking down his nose at me. I think it is interesting that Dr. Shah has been receiving similar reviews to mine for at least the past 5 years and he is still there doing the same things. So either he is a medical genius which I doubt based on my experience or Orthopedic & Spine Center of the Rockies - Lafayette doesn't really care about feedback and it is just a step in a process. He guessed at my condition, barely examined me and prescribed medication he never called in. His feedback of "I think the pain is coming from your neck rather than your shoulders but I am not going to X-ray your neck" left me confused. When I asked what the cause of the pain might be he said "most likely arthritis but you are too young to have it". So either he didn't believe I was in pain, or just flat out didn't care. I have no clue how the other doctors in the practice are but will never go back because of Dr. Shah."

"I am a delighted customer! To be pain free from the nerve pain going down my leg is beyond glorious. Dr Gerlach spent time explaining my herniated disc/nerve inpingement and what would be involved in the L3/L4 fusion & nerve decompression. When was the last time you got almost an hour's time with a doctor??? I had total confidence in him and it was truly justified."

"Dr. Shah was great. Very straightforward and clear. I love that he didn’t push extra treatment on me and force me into seemingly unnecessary weeks of physical therapy. The front office staff were kind, friendly, and professional. The x-ray tech was a pro, fast and she was hilarious for the 5 minutes I spent with her. They were doing covid health screenings at the front door."

"I wish I could give more stars, because it seems like a pretty good practice. However, the care I received after 2 (non-elective) surgeries was surprisingly poor. I was not recovering as expected (despite rigorous PT) and they said I'd simply have to live with less than 40% range of motion. I went somewhere else for another opinion, and had a relatively simple corrective surgery. Thankfully, I was able to regained 99% range of motion within a few weeks, which would not have been possible if I had listened to Front Range. Make sure your needs are within their realm of expertise before going here."
