Baseline Dental

"Run away as fast as you can. Upon my first consult with Dr. Newsome she me into a side office to "get to know me" better. Okay, I have an extensive history in dental and I was expecting her to want to get more details but rather she pulls out pictures of 2 people. 1 is a famous movie star and another clearly a homeless person who most likely did not have the resources to get proper dental care unlike the movie star. She then presented me with jaw bones in various stages of deterioration such as the homeless person in the picture. She then proceeds to tell me about bugs that live in our mouths when we eat they eat remaining food left in our teeth and then poop which makes tooth decay. What? This is completely unprofessional why would anyone make statements like this to another adult? The only thing that kept me there is she had my crown that needed to be recemented in, otherwise I would have bolted. She proceeded to do here examination promptly showing me ALL the work I need to do immediately which was going to amount to around $3600 and if I paid her immediately, she would discount me 5%. WHAT? After my very odd and extremely strange appointment I decided to get second opinion. I am now working with another local dentist who clearly did not agree with the unnecessary work Dr. Newsome wanted to do nor did she find so called decay in one of the crowns she wanted to replace. My current costs is around $600 a BIG difference from $3600! Dr. Newsome needs to rethink her level of care and how she talks to her clients. Her statements were completely unprofessional and beyond bizarre! Also, my teeth cleaning felt rushed and very uncomfortable. Dr. Newsome's comments clearly show she is delusional!!!"

She and her staff make you feel very comfortable, educate you, and work with you. I recently had some fillings done, the procedure was painless and the fillings look great. She showed me my cavities on a tv screen, which really helped me understand what needed to be done. I highly recommend this office -they are awesome."

"Completely unprofessional and a scam. My little brother went in for a cleaning and was told he needed five cavities filled. After him being in constant pain we got a second opinion come to find out none of the cavities were filled or cured correctly had to have them all redone. And now the icing on the cake we had the xrays sent over and examined and he never needed fillings in the teeth AT ALL. Place is a joke."
