"My prescriber is wonderful. However, every single “counselor” was absolutely useless to me. Nice people. Grossly unqualified. The person in charge of trauma treatment is obscenely unqualified making up arbitrary rules to receive treatment that are not based on any scientific evidence whatsoever. I literally BEGGED my assigned “counselor” for help with active flashbacks, panic attacks, nightmares, and other debilitating symptoms and in return I got a handout on how to plan my days better. Ridiculous. I now have a wonderful brilliant actually qualified therapist who has saved my life and for whom I am beyond grateful."
"The Jefferson Center for mental health is the absolute WORST kind of bureaucracy. Our young adult son called Dr Schumann’s office after finding her in network with our insurance. He asked for help with diagnosis, testing and possibly medication for adhd. They made an appointment (which he thought was with the Dr), held a virtual session, was charged on a credit card and only THEN was told “we don’t do that”. Total waste of time and money. We contacted the “patient advocate” who apparently is well trained to make excuses. Horrible experience."
"I suffer with mental health illness when I came to my appointment the provider Angela Callaway was very disrespectful . I said it was nice to meet you and she only walked ahead of me to get office with silence. Angela Calloway would not greet me and belittled me and made me feel less than a person. She would not treat me and only wanted to increase milligrams of my current medication that I've been on five plus years I explained that these medications serve their purpose and that I did not want to change my milligrams and I needed help with a condition and needed immediate help for my mental condition and she was unwilling to treat why I was there at the Wheatridge office. Angela. Galloway was rude disrespectful tried to change my words around as I explained to her what was going on. I asked to talk with a manager and she would not give me the managers information. I am still suffeting! I was flabbergasted the way I was treated and dismissed out of her office like I was a piece of trash."
"I am absolutely furious at Jefferson Center for their treatment of me and how they handle things. Both of the actual providers I've worked with there have been lovely, but office staff have absolutely no idea what is going on and are unfriendly. Their communication is terrible and has resulted in many serious mistakes. After my last experience with Jefferson Center, I would not recommend that ANYONE go here for treatment. I called regarding a prescription refill and had been given specific instructions by my pharmacist for what to ask for, as there was a manufacturer shortage of my medication dosage. I relayed this information to them both by phone and by email and they gave me what was basically a bridge prescription - two weeks of a medication that I take every day, at a specific dose, in order to function. I called to explain the issue and was told they would push my refill request through that day. Three days went by with absolutely no word from them. Nobody answered my phone calls or returned my voice messages. It took me sending an angry email through the patient portal to get someone to answer me, and she then told me they "didn't have a record" of me calling three days prior, even though I had scheduled an appointment with the person I spoke with. They continued to mess up over and over again, and my doctor's office had sent them a record request three separate times asking them to send my records over - all of which they ignored. Their screw-ups caused me to completely run out of my medication while waiting to get in with my PCP. F*ck this place. You CANNOT be this incompetent and cavalier when dealing with people's mental health and medications."
"Worst mistake of my life! The only thing they are good for is treating as many patients in one day as they can. I was misdiagnosed with schizophrenia after a angry outburst, put on court ordered meds. That was a year of my life gone, and not treating my true problems. To get off court ordered meds at my court date the dr that misdiagnosed me said I’d start doing meth if off my meds when I have and would never touch meth. My disability check was taken over by them for no reason, and I wasn’t given enough money to live. Had a bad reaction to medication worst 3 days of my life. Left messages Called nurse line for help for two days, after no response ended up in the ER. Everyone I have interacted with except my therapist has done nothing but neglect and ignore my needs. They say they have all these different ways to help but all you get is underpaid people that have no concern for your needs or even understand that you are suffering! I’ve been straight up disrespected by the people that are supposed to be helping me. Warning stay away at all costs!!!! It’s worth the wait to get into a Dr that will actually help you. You’ve probably dealt with symptoms for a while. Worth the wait to find someone that gives a dam! JCMH is the worst mistake of my life!!!!!!!"
