"Nicole has changed my life. She has been an incredible therapist, mentor, and every session I have with her brings me to greater understanding of my truth and how I show up in the world. My life has greatly improved since beginning work with her. She is so thoughtful and caring, and truly has a special gift. I could not recommend her enough. If you are ready to do your work, she is absolutely the person to go to."
"Absolutely not, showed up 27 minutes late to our meet and greet after I emailed her to ask if we were still on. She used an excuse of "having covid brain." When I shared how much not hearing from her triggered my past therapeutic trauma, I did use some cussing (not at her, but at the situation). She cut me off saying she "demands respect" and "will not be abused" when we have no rapport built and without space for me to express myself. The fact that she was not regulated enough to pause the experience without projecting, name calling, or accusing me of "abuse" is the most terrifying thing I have ever seen in a therapy setting. Keep looking!"
"Nicole has played such a pivotal role in my journey of self discovery and healing. After our initial phone consultation, I knew she was the right therapist for me as her kindness, compassion, and insight came pouring through the phone. I’ve never felt like just a number or a burden; she doesn’t spend our entire session staring at her clock. Nicole is fully engaged and makes me feel like she’s got my back through it all. If you are looking for a partner in growth, who will hold space for you and help you through dark times as well as celebrate your success, she’s the one. And a huge shout out to the coziest, most comfortable office space ever. Feels like I’m hanging out in her living room."
"Sessions with Nicole were good for the most part. Towards the end it started to feel more like talk therapy with promises of doing parts work and EMDR but we just lightly touched it. I did have a few late cancellations which I fully own up to however I sent an email apologizing and expressing that this was common for me when I am in a mental health crisis. Only to be met with a very curt email firing me as a client lacking of empathy and not even acknowledging what I had written in the email to her, almost as if the sessions and having me as a client meant nothing to her and it felt very cut and dry which was hard on my abandonment wounds. From my over 10 years of therapy, I have always been granted some sort of exit session or been given the chance for a discussion for my goals moving forward and what had been accomplished instead of being shut out entirely after having expressed my thoughts. I completely understand the cancellation policy however it's very strict with Nicole and might not be met with much grace. Her gentleness and kindness in sessions did not match how I had felt the communication was when I had been abruptly fired as a client with no acknowledgment of my state of mind. Sometimes I think the mental health field forgets they are dealing with people with mental illnesses. The abrupt firing and lack of not acknowledging my email did some harm; and makes me hesitant to start my therapy search again."
"Nic is a kind and gentle therapist with a great sense of humor. She is also an expert in the outdoors so she can help you figure your path in a space that works for you. She is such a gift to the Golden community of healers!"
