"If you expect an ‘insurance agent’ to listen and respond professionally in a timely manner to your needs, run as fast as you can away from this business. To date, I have had to make three requests to this agency to cancel a homeowners policy on a home that I recently sold so I can get a refund. I was told twice by Kara that she would send a cancellation request form and never delivered. On another home I own, I have made attempts to correct my homeowners dwelling coverage, coverage A, on my existing policy. I’m still waiting for Kara to deliver. Update 6/24/2021 - I called the insurance company directly this morning, SafeCo, and was able to take care of both matters within 30 minutes (vs multiple attempts to get help and hours on the phone plus emailing trying desperately to work through the agent) while receiving professional, knowledgeable, communicative, and timely customer service before Avanti Insurance even opened for the day. My experience is that SafeCo Insurance Company has always been and continues to be very customer friendly while the ‘approved’ SafeCo ‘insurance agents’ are incompetent, unprofessional, lack follow through, and struggle to communicate."
