"After years and years of dropping thousands of dollars on tinctures and muscle testing for Lyme and Babesiosis and essentially getting in a giant hole of medical debt, I felt like I wasn't making any progress.. "I’ve ALWAYS paid my co-pay, and out-of-pocket costs on site at the time of service, yet somehow I am regularly told that I have a balance due of some outrageous number like 200-$300 (this has happened at least four or five times), I pay the arbitrary balance and when I ask for details, they tell me to call their billing dept to handle it if I had any questions about the source of additional charges. Then I have to play phone tag with their billing person. And I’m too busy to have ever successfully closed the loop on that game of phone tag yet. I’m sure it’s a situation where my insurance wasn’t paying for my B12 shots, but then why would they continue to tell me that my insurance would cover this, and why were B12 shots $200-$300? Very frustrating that I have to investigate all of this. Just recently I tried to go back to the clinic, they informed me that I had another $250 bill that hadn’t been paid (even though I never walk out of that clinic without paying FULLY for my services - it’s only the B12 shots that ever get submitted to my insurance), and this time they had sent me to collections. I’ve spent easily $10k+ out of pocket at The Sound Clinic, and they had the nerve to send me to collections … And not notify me!"
