"My friend has been trying to setup an appointment for surgery for two weeks now. He has called several times and left several voicemails to front desk Carissa and it's been two weeks and no call back whatsoever.... Instead he has to keep calling and is left with this long voicemail on how the front desk is "training someone new" however answering the phone calls is not considered part of training!??? The fact that he is left with this voicemail after two weeks of calling and no call back is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. All Drs offices get back to clients within 2 business days waiting for weeks is absolutely absurd. I am mind blown at the lack of professionalism/help to clients these people who run have. I feel the need to make a review because of the pain and frustration my friend has been experiencing due to the lack of help he has been neglected. Why hire front desk if they don't know how to do there job??? This is people's health on the line! They make patients feel like they're a burden and don't know how to call back, set appointments, or help patients. The last time he called Jessica answered and said she was not in charge of scheduling(so who is?) but still did not get him any help. Why is it that hard for someone to schedule an appointment??? Fire all the front staff and hire staff that actually knows they do their job. Unfortunately this is the only Urologist in town but we are now looking for new places to go. These people do not care for patients health at all they are only here for a paycheck... I would not recommend this place to ppl who have health issues if you can avoid it I would go somewhere else"
"Dr Atwell has been caring for me since the end of December when I developed sepsis and went into septic shock. He determined that one of my kidneys which hasn't functioned for years was most likely the cause and ordered a merit drainage depot to help clear up the infection. Since then, he has requested other procedures (colonoscopy, endoscope, lab work, etc) to make sure I wasn't bleeding internally. Now the surgery is scheduled the end of March and I have met with him several times. I am now confident that the surgery will go well. Dr Atwell and his entire staff always demonstrate sincere concern over my health. Being the only Urology practice in Grand Junction has to be overwhelming and they always make sure I can get can appointment or phone call. I credit them for actually help save my life in December."
"Dr Sekharan did my breast surgery for cancer. She spoke to me in terms that were easy to understand. She gave me a sense security and I felt safe in her care. My surgery was a success and her attitude and presence were a big help. I would highly recommend her ."
"The doctor was fine but the front staff is absolutely negligent and has zero compassion for human life. My husband was having a mental health crisis due to the pain he was in and they would not allow him to set up an appointment because they aren’t contracted with his insurance, even with us begging to pay out of pocket. He had to go to the ER for the pain and all they could do was refer us back here. I had to call them 4 different times crying and demand to speak with a supervisor to find out we could have been seen by them all along, that in itself is unacceptable. Then while my husband was being seen and I was in the waiting room another gentleman that had just been brought out started having a medical emergency due to his oxygen running out. The front staff seemed annoyed and the medical assistant gave him attitude before very casually walking back to get him a new tank. He was actually suffocating and when another patient said to the front desk that he needed help she said “I can’t make her go any faster I’m not a medical assistant”. When the nurse finally came back out she had an attitude helping him hook it up. Also another front desk worker said a patient that was checking in was cute after he walked away and asked her coworker what he was in there for. Totally inappropriate all around, they need a serious overhaul and training of the front office staff as well as that nurse that lacked compassion for an older gentleman suffering in the lobby."
