"Ruger is our incredibly sweet, but often anxious, tripod Aussie mix. The staff at Barkly Manor gives him the extra time he needs to warm up and the individualized attention he craves. We recently boarded him for the first time and the daily photos they sent were the highlight of our days away! At the end of his stay, I appreciated that they called to find out when we planned to pick him up so they could time his groom service to avoid any unnecessary time away from the play group. Thank you for taking care of Ruger just like he is your own!"

"Do NOT take your dogs here! I’ve had to pay $1,000+ in vet bills as a result of my dogs stay at Barkly Manor. This place is dirty and it’s staff are negligent. I dropped my healthy dog off Monday morning and picked him up very sick the next day on Tuesday. There was absolutely NO communication to me that he was even sick. When I got there the staff let me know he was vomiting that morning and would not eat breakfast (again, no prior communication to me). They then gave me my dog covered in his own vomit to take home. Within an hour of him being in my care, we were at the Vet Urgent Care as he was continuously vomiting, could not hold down food or water, and was extremely lethargic. At the vet’s recommendation he needed IV medication and even with that would not stop vomiting and had to have x-rays at the ER later that night since his condition continued to worsen and to confirm their wasn’t a blockage, since Barkly Manor was unable to truthfully confirm what he did or did not eat while in their care (won’t show video cameras, etc). The ER vet that evening confirmed his symptoms were consistent with consuming something toxic in the last 24 hours (which he spent at Barkley Manor). They’ve been extremely unhelpful throughout the process and were more worried about denying anything happened than they were for the wellbeing of my dog. The owner appears nice and offered to help with the vet bills. However, when it comes down to it she refuses to help with any portion of the bill. The owner continues to gaslight me, blame shift and not take responsibility for the incident that happened while he was in her care. My next step will unfortunately be starting a legal process to ensure no other dogs or their owners have to go through something like this."

"After shopping around at a few daycare/boarding places I went with this one and have been very pleased. They have an easy to use online reservation system, an independent/boutique feel, friendly staff who know my dog, and a nice overall space. They often provide anecdotes (and pictures!) about how my dog did during his stay, which shows that they care about my dog and are paying attention to him."

"My dog Neptune absolutely loves Barkly. After a solid year at this daycare I can't picture us using another one. He comes back super tired which is awesome as he's a husky. All I have to say to him is "you wanna go to daycare " and he is instantly an excited mess. They send pictures usually every day which is awesome and they do have simple grooming. Neptune and I appreciate all that y'all do! Thank you for taking such great care of my guy."
