Maestro Music Institute Music Lessons

"0 stars if possible. Owner was misleading in job interview. Made me work for no pay, then promptly fired me when she found out that I did not have a vehicle. FYI: Public transportation is reliable in Denver, and sometimes all a person has to rely on. The owner called me just hours before she wanted me to come in to work for her. I was already running errands and had to get to an appointment, but I still made it in. They did not pay for the training. TRAINING IS WORK. Owner considers this as her "accommodating" MY needs? Seriously? Don't exploit musicians who love what they do. If you respect yourself as a musician, do not work here."

"Maestro pays it’s teachers poorly (less than 50% of what it charges students). The owner doesn’t value the teacher’s experience & knowledge they bring to each lesson, instead, she sets their pay on a “sliding scale” based how many days/hours the teacher works. I would suggest working with another music school who truly values their teachers & pays a fair hourly rate."

It's never a struggle to get him to practice as he just enjoys playing and actually looks forward to the lessons."

"My daughter started piano lessons as a 4 year old with Ms. Beth when Maestro Music started a decade ago . In the 10 years since then, she's added violin (Ms. Anna) and voice lessons (Mr. Joshua), while continuing her piano studies and regularly participating in Maestro summer camps. The team of teachers all love music themselves and want to develop that passion within their students. They have taught the skills for my daughter to be successful in her school orchestra and choir, but more importantly, to love music and to share it with others. Maestro has been a home away from home, and seeing the musician my daughter has become....I'm truly grateful!"
