"I would say my stay here wasn't long but it wasnt bad as well. Staff was friendly, just overworked and severely underpaid. I think that would be my only call out for the facility. Thanks for treating me like I was valued and not like I was just a dollar stretched. I mean that and not sarcastically ."
"I fell on a Thursday night and was brought here by paramedics. I had surgery on Friday because my left hip and femur were broken. I have been here for six days. I know that shortages in medical staffing is a big problem and for the most part my nursing care was compassionate and professional, these nurses are incredibly over worked having a caseload far beyond what seems humanly possible. It appears to me that the communication among the doctors, nurses, assistants, physical therapists, caseworkers etc does not exist. I was told 4 days in a row someone was coming to change my bandages. Never happened. Equipment constantly malfunctioning flowers sent to me never received. I could go on, but I’m guessing that you get the picture. I’m not an advocate but I would love to see someone pick up the cause"
"My dad who is a 100% disabled veteran had to be admitted to the ER here. While he was in holding to transfer to another area of the hospital, he was not provided drink or a blanket to keep himself warm. He begged a nurse to provide these accommodations but he did not provide anything. When my dad needed to get out of the bed and use the restroom, the nurse did not aid in removing his IV at all. Instead, the nurse told him to remove the IV on his own, NOT EVEN TELLING HIM HOW TO DO IT! When my dad was discharged from the hospital, the valet guy did not allow me to park on the side and immediately started to yell at me before I even opened my door and pick him up WHILE HE WAS OUTSIDE THE MAIN ENTRANCE WITHOUT ANY SHOES ON!! On top of that, the billing department did not fill out their forms correctly to get reimbursed from the Veterans Affairs. VA notified them MULTIPLE TIMES why they rejected the reimbursement. So instead of billing correcting their mistake, they billed my dad who CANNOT afford the bills on his own. Everything is supposed to be covered by VA. Now he is getting harassed with bills in the mail and debt collectors constantly calling him. Along with that, his credit score dropped and is affecting is plans to get a car loan and a mortgage for a house. This hospital not only did not provide good care of my father who fought in 3 separate wars to protect our country, they're ruining his financial future. It is absolutely sickening that my dad sacrificed so much of himself just to be treated this way. I have NEVER been more infuriated in my life! It just shows how money driven this hospital is and how much they don't care about actually taking care of people."
