"We are so pleased with our experience at the Goddard School. Every morning when we drop our kids off at school we feel completely comfortable with leaving our boys in their care. The teachers are amazing and so welcoming. We have two kids there (ages 1.5 and 3) and we adore the teachers that our in our kids classrooms. Our three year old has grown and learned so much since starting there 6 months ago, and our one and a half year old is having a blast socializing with other little ones his age. We can't recommend this preschool enough and we are so thankful to have found them."
"We love The Goddard School of Aurora (South) and have recommended it to friends and neighbors. Both the front office staff and teachers are wonderful, organized, and caring. Our daughter loves "going to school" and we feel incredibly comfortable leaving her there. She has thrived at this school and has grown both socially and emotionally. Additionally, we love The Goddard's School's advanced play-based curriculum. Our daughter is currently in the Pre-K class and she is excelling at (and loving) learning how to read, how clocks and calendars work, how to play chess, and do math. We couldn't ask for a better preschool experience!"
"I cannot express how deeply disappointed and disturbed I am with my experience at this daycare center. I did submit this as a complaint to Colorado Shines and their outcome of their investigation was founded, which you can find as public information online. As a parent, I entrusted them with the well-being and safety of my child, only to discover that their idea of "preventative measures" involved repeatedly restraining my child. Before I intervened, my one-year-old was left in the restraint for upwards of 35 minutes which is not age or developmentally appropriate. I understand that dealing with behavioral concerns like biting can be challenging, but there are better, more humane ways to address these issues. The fact that my child was subjected to frequent restraints is not only unacceptable but also raises serious questions about the staff's competence and understanding of child development and well-being. For a center with the reputation that it had, I would think they would see these moments as opportunities to teach social-emotional skills. Instead, we were treated as problem to get rid of as soon as possible. The lack of communication regarding these incidents is equally troubling. I was not informed about the extent of the restraints until I discovered it on my own, which left me feeling betrayed and blindsided. A responsible daycare center should prioritize open communication with parents, especially when it comes to matters affecting a child's emotional and social well-being. I had to request a conference with an attempt to create a more child-focused approach that could reframe her behavior as communication and work to determine what was happening for her internally. I also asked that they stop using restraint with my child but both the director and owner were reluctant to do that as it seems they didn't have other ideas or options of how to work with my child. It is disheartening to think that a place I initially believed to be a safe and nurturing environment for my child turned out to be a source of distress and trauma. I strongly advise any parent considering this daycare center to think twice and explore other options where their child's safety and emotional health are genuinely prioritized. I strongly caution any parent considering this daycare center to thoroughly investigate their practices and consider alternative options that prioritize a nurturing and respectful environment for children."
"We have been so pleased with our son’s experience at Goddard. He started there at 5 months, and is now in the two year old classroom, learning so much and having a blast each day. The socialization is great for him while we work, and the teachers are so kind and empathetic towards not only him, but us!"
"We started attending Goddard during COVID when my daughter had just turned 4 years old and my son was only one years old. My son is now in the preschool class and my daughter is in 1st grade. This school has been such a blessing to our family from the moment that we enrolled. My daughter's pre-k teacher taught her how to read and write, and they actually use the kindergarten curriculum. My daughter entered kindergarten above grade level. In fact, when we took her to the kindergarten assessment, when she was finished, they said "she went to Goddard, didn't she. We can always tell who went to Goddard because they're so high." My son has also flourished at Goddard, and his teachers have always been so nurturing to him. He never wants to leave when we pick him up. We also rely on parents night out for our date nights, and my kids love it. I would totally recommend Goddard to anyone. It has been the best parenting decision that I have made."
