"I have been trying to get a mammogram for symptomatic breast issues for a month. My orders are on Epic EHR, but UC denies being able to see them. My PCP has faxed orders x 2 which apparently have been lost. After hours and hours of trying to get this resolved by the Breast Center, I finally got a supervisor on the phone and it took an additional hour for her to get my orders into the system. I have symptomatic breast disease and she couldn’t get me an appointment with ultrasound on the same day as a Dexa scan for another month. I live in the mountains, so no I can’t make 3 visits to get my mammogram, then my ultrasound, then my Dexa scan via Route 70 in the winter. This will be 2 months and countless phone calls since my PCP originally placed the order. This is such poor quality care that I don’t even have words. Appalling. Just appalling."
