"EDIT: I went back into the shop and was able to work with Dylan to switch to a different pair of lightly used boots that have a larger volume. These new boots are amazing and very comfortable! After speaking with Dylan I realize that I should have gone in for additional adjustments to make the original boots work. After this positive experience I would recommend going to this shop for new boots. Just be aware it may take multiple adjustments to get your boots fitted properly. I bought a pair of custom fitted boots with foot beds from this place at the beginning of the 21/22 season and went in for an adjustment during the 22/23 season. After 20 days of excruciatingly painful skiing I'm finally giving up. Even after just 3 short runs my feet are in so much pain I'm forced to stop. Skiing is one of my favorite activities and I now avoid going because of the pain these boots cause. During my appointment my fitter pushed me into selecting a smaller boot size saying it was "safer". I told him it didn't feel right but he stated that he was not willing to put me into a bigger boot, again for "safety" reasons. In reality, I don't believe they had a proper fitting boot for me and wanted to rush me through the appointment as it was the end of the day. I would recommend going to a different shop that actually takes the time to find the right boot and fit it properly."

"Knowledgeable staff members that will make sure you'll get into the correct boot. I went to Boot Mechanics at the beginning of the 2023/2024 season to get fitted for boots and I'm so glad that I did. I love researching. I love diving into the details of specific items, then comparing and contrasting to others. Had I gone with one of the two boots that i had researched extensively - I would have been in the wrong boot. Dylan took the time to walk me through the decisions he was making based off my foot measurements. He never said no when I asked is I could try on a boot again, even after he had already put it away. Thanks to Dylan, I am happy customer with no regrets."

"The boot techs at this shop are top notch. I had a lot of issues getting boot work done and fitted at other shops. From wrong shell size, lost toe tails, to improper toe punches and poorly made foot beds. I pretty much refuse to go elsewhere even if costs are lower. You get high quality boot work from boot mechanics. I’ve purchased 2 ski boots from them and they work on my snowboard boots for me. Paula & Bowen are my shop favorites, you can’t go wrong with either of them. The shop manager Dylan cares about his customers and will take care of you. Can’t recommend this shop enough."

"Did a fitting with Kevin Flynn after my wife's positive experience with Boot Mechanics the previous season where she got a new boot and footbed and had various adjustments done after skiing the boot. Kevin was very knowledgeable and took his time identifying the type of skiing I wanted to do and my goals with a new boot, didn't try to upsell me on the custom footbed, but I traveled from a state without skiing to see a professional fitter, so I opted for the custom footbed myself. Tried multiple shells to find the best fit and adjusted my bindings to fit my new boots all within two hours. Not to mention he did all of this the day after Christmas when I was the last customer of the day. I got to ski the new boot for 4 days after the fitting and I really felt like sizing down (getting the correct size) shell really gave me the extra precision and comfort I was looking for."
