"Focus on floors was a recommendation from our interior design rep. She had been working with them for years with great results. We were a bit reluctant due to the 3.5 star Google reviews. However, after meeting, learning more about their business and dedication to the trade we went with them - and could not be happier! They did a fantastic job on the carpet removal and installation for the entire upstairs of our home. After this we later hired them to complete tile installation in our master bathroom. We picked out the tile and again they did a great job. Walked us through key design decisions and impacts. Extremely satisfied with the work they have done, and we'll go to them again as needed."
"Where to start, this flooring project started in September 2019. At first it went well however there was a Large misunderstanding by focus flooring. I was having all of the baseboards in the house removed and painted white. Somehow Focus flooring assumed that I was going to be adding baseboards around my kitchen cabinets and stairs where they were replacing the flooring. Granted I have not done a lot of remodel projects but painting white baseboards throughout the house is clearly different than adding a veneer around cabinets and a dark wood color quarter round at the base of kitchen cabinets. Regardless of the miscommunication I guess on both sides this project is still going on today in February 2020. The installer had cut the flooring too short in several areas around the kitchen cabinets in the entryway staircase. They did attempt to come out a few times however the first time to fix the issue was in October 2019 and the installer know called no showed and wasted a whole day off I took to be present. Then the reschedule of their no-show they Ordered the wrong material and after 10 minutes on site he said this is not what we need and waste another day off. I have put together Several requests for them to come out and fix their issues. I should be compensated for their no call no show and a majority of companies if somebody did that they would be terminated. And I am requesting them fix all the issues with cutting the floor too short. I have now provided them to different days that they can come back out to fix their problems so we can part ways. I am not paying the balance until they fix their issues. I should have done a better background check to see their ratings. If I would’ve seen they were in a three star I would’ve never contacted them or did business with them. Do you research people"
"We had to use this company because we attempted to purchase carpet and laminate flooring with Lowe's. We had someone out from Focus on Floors to do the measurements and give us an estimate. Tim, the measurement guy, was great if a bit difficult to get a hold of. But the rest of the company has been a nightmare to deal with. It's been three weeks and we still do not have an estimate. Focus on Floors won't talk to us because we are working with Lowe's, so we have to talk to Lowe's. Lowe's tells us that they can't get any answers from Focus on Floors. The experience has been incredibly frustrating and a complete waste of our time. We ended up calling Empire. They were at our house within two days to do measurements and installation is scheduled."
"Stuck with this company because lowes only uses them. As a result of how poorly lowes and focus on floors we also cancelled lowes putting in our new kitchen. I don't know what happened to customer service and working with customers to achieve satisfaction on both sides. Neither company cared about our need for help with a disability situation. Wasted my day from work for NOTHING to be done and floor installer complained about moving furniture when it clearly stated on our paperwork. Then they kept changing stories and blaming each other for why they couldn't do the job."
"Salvador Garcia just finished a (long) three day install of over 800 square ft of vinyl flooring, subcontracted through Lowe's. I couldn't be more pleased. He was hardworking, professional, took all the challenges and surprises the job threw at him and did a magnificent job. He showed up when he said he would, cleaned up as he went and left my house spotless with fabulous new floors."
