"Stopped in to buy a scrap of carpet that cost maybe 2 dollars but the staff ( 2 ladys ) went out of there way to help me find a scrap that matched my carpet...Great service"
"Re-writing my review after being threatened with the contract I signed after a bad experience. Well they "fixed it", so I guess I can post an updated review now. My initial experience with carpet mill was great. They had the carpet I was looking for, so they measured my room and got the contract ready quickly. On install day, they told me that they ordered the wrong size carpet because they measured the room incorrectly. They gave me the option of reordering carpet or piecing it together. I told them they were welcome to piece together the remaining pieces of carpet if they were able to offer a small discount, then after talked to the install person who said they should fix it because this carpet is hard to seam (looped). No problem, they ordered more carpet. I assumed (wrongly) that they would redo the entire room since this was their mistake in measuring the room incorrectly. They just ordered a small piece and basically ripped out one corner and put in a seam. The installer again told me they should have ordered the entire carpet again because this type of carpet is so hard to seam. He also asked if they offered me a discount and was surprised that they didn't since it was their mistake. So now there's a fuzzy seam in a busy area in our living room, no solution, thousands spent with this company, and I'll likely need to pay someone else to replace the carpet in the near future. So frustrating. Go somewhere else for carpet."
"Great prices and service during the shopping phase of carpet buying. Very unorganized and unnecessarily chaotic on install day weeks later. We were given 2 possible install dates and promised a 48 hour heads up phone call so we could be home whichever day was decided. No 48 hour phone call. We called when the store opened and were told there was no install scheduled that day so planned the day accordingly. Install guy showed up and no one was home. The measurements (done by the store salesperson) ended up being wrong. They didnโt order enough carpet or padding. Install guy was able to make it work but with a seam in a very visible place. Not a great experience."
"Did you know that you can buy beautiful little mats made of carpet scraps for just 2 or 5 dollars? Also, all the profits go to supporting a good cause! You can use them as mats or for your diy projects!"
"Experience started out well - great customer service in the store and in our home for measurements, but went a bit downhill from there. We scheduled a date for install, but the window came and went with no phone call to us. I called the store only to learn they wouldn't be coming that day after all. Apparently the whole operation falls apart when 1 installer gets a cold, so they bumped us to the following day. We had already taken the day off since we had to disconnect computers and to allow for the install, so the no-show forced us to take an additional day off work. The install itself went smoothly, considering 1 guy was on speakerphone having a personal conversation with a woman just about the entire day (the whole install took about 6 hours). In the end, there was carpet debris and dust EVERYWHERE. Bedrooms, bathroom floors, garage, and even our alley that we share with neighbors. As they were about to head out, I asked if they'd brought a big vacuum cleaner to clean up all of the excess carpet debris they'd left, but he simply said "we don't do that. Your typical home vacuum cleaner can do it". We had to go over the carpets about 3 times to get it all, and had to unclog our vacuums at least 10 times to do so. In the end I'd hoped to at least get a call from the store to ask how our install went, especially considering they were a no-show on the scheduled day. You'd think they'd want to ensure satisfaction after that, but here we are, 1 week later, and I haven't heard anything or had any offer to make things right. Super disappointed. We will be needing more carpet in our near future but will be looking elsewhere."
