"Let me start by saying this was the best haircut I’ve ever had. I have wavy, thick hair and for my entire life after a haircut I’ve always come home and washed it right away because I didn’t like the way it was styled. I’ve also only kept my haircuts to a small trim and some layers from time to time that only felt like they looked good if my hair was blow dried straight. Today, that all changed. From the moment I walked in I felt immediately at ease. The salon is beautiful and comforting and every staff member was incredibly kind and welcoming. I showed Erik the style I was considering and he gave me honest advice based on my face shape and the texture of my hair. He did a dry cut and the stylists, with his guidance, explained all of the products while applying so that I could recreate it at home. My goal was to have my waves curl more and have more body, and they DELIVERED! Once we were done I couldn’t believe that my hair could look so curly. I was seriously considering a perm but this experience changed my mind. Devana Salon, Erik and the whole staff exceeded all of my expectations. I’m already looking forward to returning."

"This place is amazing!!! I’ve always had wavy-curly hair and tried a million different things to get my curl pattern to be tighter, less frizzy, and even all over. I always struggled with having a dead flat top layer with curly hair underneath. Erik was so good!! He cut and styled my hair and explained his steps along the way so I could replicate it at home. I felt completely pampered and got amazing hair at the same time. I highly recommend you visit this salon if your curls are in need of help like mine. They even gave me an instruction manual and I was able to purchase the products to do it myself. I actually was able to get even tighter curls at home!!!"

"Best curly cut I've ever had. As anyone w/curly hair knows, finding someone who can work with your distinct curl type is almost impossible - I'd long ago settled for "it's fine." Enter Erik. I thought I'd give Devana a shot as it's solely for curly hair. I live in Boulder, so went back and forth for a bit about whether it was worth driving to Denver, but.. all I can say is, if you have curly hair, make the drive from wherever you are! I've now done a slightly longer and slightly shorter cut with him - both amazing, perfect for my curl type, and he figured out how to frame my face w/curls without looking like a poodle...I had color done as well. He went lighter than I usually go (with my permission) and it's the color I didn't know I needed. Also a very welcoming atmosphere, with clients from their 20s-70s from what I saw. Don't hesitate!"

Erik gave me a fabulous cut, and Cierra polished it off with her amazing styling skills, all the while giving me tips to better care for my curls.
