"Have been doing my own hair for years only to have accidentally over bleached the back and wanted a professional to do my roots for me. How I came out of the salon like this I still don’t know. I don’t believe their lighting was that great, because I didn’t realize how I had gained a weird cast from a “root smudge”. My hair didn’t lift as much as my stylist (Isabelly) had thought it would from roots, and because of the brass (which honestly wasn’t that bad but was the only reason I even came to a salon in the first place) she wanted to do something else to hide the brass roots. I agreed on a root smudge which I honestly had never seen but she said would just take away the brass. I agreed it didn’t need to be bleached again due to the damage. It didn’t take away the brass but casted a very dark cast in an odd pattern. I don’t usually part my hair as much on the side like she had at the salon, so the roots and pattern from my view were somewhat concealed. When I got home and parted my hair the usual way, I noticed this splotchy result. The other stylist that came to assist had raved the results and told me she had put a split end treatment in my hair. They were both very kind and were wonderful to talk to but this result is completely heartbreaking. I had been there for almost 3.5 hours and spent $190 plus tip ($50) on this. Very very heartbroken. How I was deceived like this I still honestly can’t believe. I had gone to get my roots touched up and had said I wanted regular appointments to do so. And I left with a style that I was unfamiliar with .. apparently a root smudge helps you grow out your roots. Which isn't what I wanted to do at all. So why this was considered an option is a little mind baffling. The first picture was taken hours before my appointment. The last pictures are the results."
