"DO NOT BOOK LAST MINUTE BLOW OUT!!! Booked a basic blow out with first available; shampoo was fine, blow out is below average. Wanted big bouncy blow out, left the salon with flat hair. Had to point out my baby hairs were still curly and back of my head was still damp. When i got in my car to check, the under layers of my hair were curly and still damp. Wouldve been better if i did this myself at home, wouldve saved 80$ ridiculous -"
"Mary Durkin is PHENOMENAL. I’m not normally “married” to my hair stylist, but now I will not go to anyone else. I’ve gotten a few balayages in the past but Mary absolutely nailed the color and cut. It’s been over two months since my visit and it’s growing in beautifully. I've received many compliments from friends and family, as well. Scarlet Salon is also great. The service and hair products are top notch. This is probably my first ever google review. Mary deserves it."
"I went twice to see Abby, first time good experience. I went back! Second time I asked balayage it looked like very minimal baby lights. I could sense she was in a rush. She said to call back if anything. After I went home and saw my hair I wanted to be an actual balayage since I paid about $400 with $70 Tip . Which I was ok until the time when customer service was not a thing! I call and talked to receptionist and told her that it didn't turned out the way I wanted. And wanted to know what could be done to get my hair the way I wanted.she told me that she would call Abby, then she called back and said that Abby told her to tell me that she did the best she could based on her abilities. Which didn't sound right but ok. I didn't even asked to do for same price I just wanted to love the way my hair looks. Receptionist said the stylist decide what to do and salón not responsible. Abby needs to learn the there are so many people that do our jobs and the way you treat your clients is what will separate you for the rest. Communicate with your customer you. Since is you who represent your work not the salon or receptionist but clearly you had no desire to make it right."
"Alden gave me my dream highlights! Even better than I ever imagined. I wanted very thick and light silver highlights, and my hair came out much better than expected. He had to do it in two stages, to achieve the extra light color I wanted. So happy that he got rid of all the orange I had (as you can see in the “before” pictures). And absolutely no damage! In love with my hair. Highly recommend ALDEN!"
"Update: 9 months later and I am still trying to fix the banding that was done by Zach. I have spent over $2k and have been seen by 3 different stylists. I finally decided to give up being blonde and have dyed my hair dark brown in an attempt to cover up what was done here. Original: When I called and scheduled the appointment, I told the receptionist that I was looking to get a blonde balayage done. However, when I had my hair done at the appointment by Zach, it was done as a full highlight and root melt (which he asked if I wanted, I said yes, but did not know it was an additional cost.) So anyways, it was not what I wanted but I wasn’t aware of this until the end. I even showed Zach photos of how blonde my hair used to be and that was what I wanted it to look like (I’ll attach the photo to the review as well) before hand and showed him that I had a good 4-5 inches of grow out as well. By then end of the session, my hair did not look much different. I wasn’t super happy but thought I would give it a try and even scheduled a follow up session. However, when I got home that evening, I began looking at my hair and lifting up sections and seeing what it looked like and I was baffled at how bad it was. There are huge chunks that weren’t even highlighted and really bad “banding” where the grow out was. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. I did not reach out to the salon for any kind of resolution but found another salon who fixed my hair and cancelled my follow up here. I will not be returning to the Scarlet Salon which is a bummer because their stylists show photos of their work and it looks amazing. Not sure why mine was so bad. I paid $160 for this and then had to pay another $250 a week later to have it try to be corrected elsewhere."
