"Lewbowski's is a must visit. The atmosphere, decor, and service couldn't have been better. The food could use some work. I'm visiting Colorado Springs and as a Big Lewbowski fan, I had to make the trip to Lewbowski's Taproom. It wasn't too busy so I grabbed a seat at the bar. They have two good sized TVs for watching sports and the service was excellent. My only complaint is the portion size of their Guinness beef stew from the St Paddy's Day menu. The stew was served in a bread bowl that is about the size of a softball with enough bread pulled out for maybe a 1/4 cup of stew. It was chunky (a good thing) but that meant the celery and carrots filled most of the bowl leaving room for two cuts of meat. I'm guessing the kitchen recognized this was unacceptable because the plate was served with a condiment cup filled with a side portion of stew. Lastly, there was a serving of greens with a few pickled onions (no dressing) on the side. The flavors were there but when the dish was put in front of me I really felt like asking if they were messing with me. They people next to me ordered burgers and it looked amazing. I'd definitely go back, I just feel like the stew was a big miss."
"We were supposed to meet up with friends today for BBQ and then come here for a drink afterwards. Our friends had to scratch but I’ve never heard of this place until yesterday so I looked it up. Seemed a decent burger joint so we came for lunch. It didn’t disappoint. We split a burger and it was perfect. I made the mistake of ordering the Lebowski’s Sunny Day NEIPA without looking it up first. Turns out to be a Wackadoo brewery beer. One of my least favorite breweries in town but not their fault. Sam had the El Dude white Russian and she really liked it. We will definitely eat and drink here again."
"I wasn't sure what to expect. Beyond the theme, which I love, it has the feel of a neighborhood bar. The food was good but seemed overpriced for what you get. With some fine tuning and a bit more character, it will be a fun place to go on the regular. It abides."
"So, I haven't been so excited to try a local restaurant as I was to try Lebowski's in quite some time. The theme of the cult classic is ever-present here. The drinks were spot on; they have a whole menu page dedicated to The Dude's favorite, the White Russian. You must try to White Ukrainian, because I could have drank a gallon of that drink. The food is fantastic; I really loved The Walter with its funky mix of peanut butter and jalapeno jam that I think does so well to embody the character. My fiancee got The Bunny and a lemon bar, which were both incredible. To end this review, let me just say that the owners are super personable and fun, and our server, Kaylei, was such a warm and accommodating person and took the best care of us. We'll be back for brunch!"
