"I was pretty bummed. The food was under-seasoned and greasier than I expected. There was at least a 25 minute gap between when we were done with our salads and our entrees arrived. During that time, no one checked on us. My water glass was empty. Our food was no longer hot and the beans had congealed some, suggesting they had been sitting on the plate for awhile. My pork chop was undercooked. I would have even let all that slide if anyone had acknowledged the issue, but no one said anything. For this price point, I would have expected more commitment to quality and service. On the plus side, the ambience was nice and the portions were generous."
"The cutest little Victorian restaurant! It is rather small. No kids menu and geared towards adults. We had the German Style Meatballs and they were SO GOOD! I love how they added sauerkrat with it! The Crispy Brussels Sprouts were excellent. Had the right amount of crunch. Had the Braised Short Rib. I loved how it was served with mashed potatoes, like it was soup. Very tasty. The raw grape tomatoes added a nice crunch and flavor to the dish as well. My husband had the Black Cod and there was BLACK RICE, which I never heard of or tried! Loved trying the black rice. Meal was complimented with the red blend Hitching Post wine. Monica was our server and she was such a delight."
"An absolutely joyous experience. Lovely omelettes that were full of vegetables and exactly what I wanted. My husband got the chorizo, biscuit and gravy and it was spectacular. The mimosas definitely tasted fresh and the patio here is absolutely wonderful. Can’t wait to try dinner!"
"We loved the service and the atmosphere! The Cajun risotto and the brown sugar old fashioned were very good! The other items (given how much the meal cost) were underwhelming."
"The food was fancy. We enjoyed the breakfast options they had. She got the blueberry pancakes... she would have liked to have syrup and some butter along with the compote, but thought it tasted fresh and lightly sweet. I got the biscuits and chorizo gravy. It was so flavorful and mildly spicy. The biscuits were a bit on the crispy side, but it allowed the gravy to not cause them to get too mushy. Lovely atmosphere, and the waitress was so sweet!"
