"We had some time to kill on the way back to the airport from the ski areas so we decided to stop in Idaho Springs to walk around. We stumbled across Main Street Restaurant and I’m so glad we decided to stop. They offer a full menu (breakfast, lunch, dinner) all day. I can honestly say I had the best omelet I’ve ever eaten! It was the corned beef omelet with rye toast snd grits. Everything was perfect. You can’t go wrong here. I highly recommend it!"
"Fantastic breakfast! We stayed in Idaho Springs to acclimate for a night prior to heading up to Keystone and this restaurant was recommended to us. It did not disappoint. From the minute we walked in the door, it was a great experience. The server was welcoming and knowledgeable. He was taking care of everyone coming in and did so with grace, ease and kindness. Those ordering food to go were offered a seat and either water or coffee while they waited. Our food came out quickly and was delicious. Highlights were the thick but bacon and the homemade bread. Next time we are in Idaho Springs, we will be stopping again!"
"Visiting colorado and needed a breakfast spot that was better than hotel or casino food. Wow, did we luck out with this place! They were so friendly and the atmosphere was so cool. Like every shop on main street in Idaho Springs, this place had character. The menu was massive and pretty much everything is made fresh on site. Teenage son had a hubcap pancake and didn't finish half of it. A friend had the eggs benedict flight and loved each one. One person had a fried breakfast burrito that was like a chimichanga and saif it was awesome. I had blueberry pancakes and eggs, hashbrowns, bacon and a biscuit. Other than the eggs benedict flight, mo one was able to finish their order, the servings were massive and everything was delicious. If driving through Idaho Springs, make the stop, breakfast is all day and they also have a lunch menu but they close in the afternoon I believe. Worth the trip from black hawk for sure!"
"January/2024: For whoever reads this string of reviews, we visited again, and this time we hit 5 stars all around. Service great, coffee delicious, food was beautiful and tasted amazing. My Brazilian Benedict was incredible! French toast made with jalapeno cheddar bread was reportedly delicious. The pancakes were gigantic, which pleased my husband. Everyone said the bacon was the best, I agreed. Thick, crisp, substantial. Look forward to next time we're in town. Mid-2023: My long review below is from 8 months ago. This short edit is from another visit this past week when I was in town and had lunch with my people again. We all had breakfast for lunch - one had a breakfast burrito, 2 had omelets. Mine was very good, but my grits were cold, sprinkled with cold grated cheese. When I asked if it was supposed to be cold, the (very nice, friendly) server said no, and took the bowl back to have it warmed, melting the cheese. I heard the woman in the booth behind me ask the same, sending hers back too. Other than that no major complaints, everything tasted great! August/2022: We were visiting and sat outside on a beautiful morning to have breakfast with a couple of our grandkids - who we hadn't had time with in 6 months - before they went to work nearby. We only had an hour before one of them had to be at work, and I had to go looking for a server to take our orders after waiting a long time. 45 minutes later we still hadn't gotten our food. Then, since no one checked back after that, I had to go ask the hostess at the door for a box so our granddaughter could take what she didn't have time to eat, and she said they'd bring us one, but 5 minutes later we hadn't gotten it. The time crunch was stressful, and when the food finally came the food was mixed. I had a Brazil Benedict and it was great, but my husband said his country breakfast was just so-so: "the biscuits sucked". They were too dense and hard to eat. The other meals - blueberry pancakes and a regular ham and eggs Benedict - were good, but we were so rushed when it finally came I didn't have time to take any pictures. It's on the pricey side, which is fine when everything else is great, but it wasn't. I couldn't decide between 3 and 4 stars, but I think it's normally better, so I'm giving it 4...and I think I would be willing to try it again next time we're in town."
"Amazing BACON. The best bacon in my whole life. We loved this little place. We had Kelly as our sever and she was just the best. There was a guy server there as well but we didn’t get his name. They were both fantastic!!!! The food, the service were just the best. We travelled from Mn and stopped to have breakfast. Loved this little place ♥️."
