"My fav secret item (not on the menu) is the blackened fish nachos. A lot of food for one person, but good for two if you get a couple of a la carte tacos on the side."
"Solid place for some good food. It’s always hard to find good places to eat at during lent, but this one delivers. I had the nachos with no protein to start. I usually don’t like beans but opted for the black beans and I’m glad I did. Decent flavor and the cheese was melted just right. That with their salsa was good. Had the crispy fish tacos and they hit the spot. I really like how they crisp up the cheese on the taco and the flavor of the slaw was good. I added some salsa on top and it was perfect. My buddy had the 1988 burrito and a pastor taco. Flavor was great on the pastor taco. Flavor on the burrito was good but he felt the price to burrito size fell short. Would have liked a bigger burrito. Overall solid place. I really like the atmosphere and the place was clean. Good customer service and food came out quick."
"This place has gone wayyyyy downhill. Much smaller portions, higher prices, mandatory 5% charge but they still have tips on top of that. Ordered 60 dollars worth of food and just got home to discover no avocado or sauce that's supposed to come with. Used to be one of my favorite spots and now I won't be back."
"I opted for the 1988 fish tacos combo accompanied by white rice and black beans. Unfortunately, I found the tacos to be lacking in flavor and overall unappealing. In fact, I couldn't even finish one of them. The lukewarm and overly salty black beans and rice did little to enhance the meal. Surprisingly, the "Hawaiian" onion rings were the highlight with their satisfying taste and texture, although I did encounter some fish-flavored crispy bits in the basket that left me feeling a bit queasy. Not only that, but I asked for ranch and they gave me the wrong dipping sauce. Not only that, but, regrettably, when I requested the receipt, the staff assured me they would bring it but failed to do so. On a positive note, the pleasant weather and enjoyable music created a nice ambiance. Nonetheless, considering the underwhelming taste and the steep price of $25 for a lackluster taco plate and onion rings, my Saturday lunch experience fell far short of expectations."
