"Great experience. This hotel is a beautiful throwback to the early 1900's. If you are looking for sleek and modern, this is not it. The Brown is a comfortable well run hotel. Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, and warm hospitality set this hotel apart from it's competition. They have a nice selection of restaurants and bars in he hotel. As a Marriot Titanium member O got a room upgrade and $15 towards my breakfast in the lobby restaurant each day. That's enough for a continental breakfast but you can pay a little more and get an omelette or eggs. They have love music during the day too and lots of people coming for high tea in the lobby. The hotel is very centrally located right near the Capital and downtown core."

"Overly pretentious yet not clean. Let’s start with Parking-valet only $59 which is a LOT. I’d recommend parking on the street around on the other side of the hotel. We had a classic queen on the 5the floor. The room was very small and bathroom even smaller. Probably the smallest hotel bathroom I’ve ever been in. So small there wasn’t space for the toilet paper. See photos. Shower was big enough for 2 which was a plus with an overhead rain shower and wall shower, however the overhead shower kept squealing and shooting water in crazy directions due to calcification build up. In the room itself the bed was very squeaky and uncomfortable. So we tossed and turned all night. The mini fridge was super tiny and full of mold. See photo. The LG TV had Netflix built in but kept shutting off on its own while in the middle of a movie. There was a huge space under the door so you could hear EVERYTHING in the hallway and the loud piano playing in the atrium which was very annoying. No privacy. We tried to call the front desk about the weird issues with the room but the phone didn’t work. There are a multitude of options for dining but be prepared to dress up. This isn’t Colorado Casual. Personally I wasn’t impressed at all with the excessive pricing compared to the actual quality of the hotel and the terribleness of the room. I’d stay at the Embassy suites not far from there instead. At least the rooms, breakfast and quality are vastly better than this so called 4 star hotel."

"First time staying here. Beautiful, Historic, yet upgraded with digital room keys and rain showers. Amazing Friday the elevator has a functioning analog floor indicator! Live music most evenings too."

"One of the best places I have EVER stayed at!!!!! You feel like royalty the moment you arrive. We were given the most incredible corner room with a city view. It was lovely to watch snow falling at night. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Every staff member, from the bellhop to the reception desk to the valet park attendant was friendly, attentive and went beyond what I expected in service. I will recommend and return for sure. The decor is also what makes it a GEM!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️"

"fabulous hotel; amazing staff; fantastic music; awesome food. Kent made our stay extra special by showing us some of the uniqueness of the property; from murals to hotel history, he really personalized our stay. The tea is a must do with delicious scones, sandwiches, and pastries not to mention the harpist. But the jazz band and piano player were the best; highly recommend! Fabulous stay! Thank you everyone!"
