"I have stayed at this hotel multiple times and have always had a positive experience here. Just over the past month, I have stayed here 3 times. Being a Wyndham Diamond member, I stay at a lot of Wyndham hotels and this is one of the best in the chain. Derrick, who works the front desk, is very friendly and wonderful to deal with. The rates are very reasonable, the hotel is clean and many of the rooms have been recently remodeled. There is free parking and easy access to US36, Boulder, Superior, and Broomfield. Both the Regal movie theater and the RTD station are just a 5 minute walk (or 2 minute drive) away."
"Worst customer service experience I’ve ever had ever anywhere ever, thanks to Adrianne, on the night of 11 December 2023, at approximately 7:55pm. When I initially entered the building, there was no one at the front desk. After standing there for a few minutes, I rang the bell at the desk once. Adrianne finally approached the desk from the back. She immediately asked if I had a reservation, when I told her I did not, she told me that I, “needed to leave” and that I, “needed to go somewhere else”, because she didn’t have any availability, which is not at all what the La Quinta website stated. This was on a Monday night. I walked outside, got on the La Quinta website, and again, saw that there were available rooms, so I made a reservation. When I went back in, I rang the bell once, and Adrianne again approached from the back and immediately asked, almost yelling, noticeable irritated, “WHAT DO YOU WANT”?! I informed her that I had a reservation, and this obviously irritated her further, asking me why I had done that. I gave her my information, and she began grudgingly checking me in. I asked her what I had done to upset her, and her attitude only worsened. I then asked who was in charge, which she replied angrily, “I AM”!!!. I then asked if she was the only one working, and she yelled back, “YES”!!!. She then stopped checking me in and again disappeared to the back in hopes of continuing her nap that I had earlier interrupted. If I had not already paid, at this time I would’ve simply left, as I was disgusted with Adrianne and La Quinta. I asked Adrianne to refund my money, which she ignored, so I repeated to ask for my money back. Adrianne continued to ignore my request and or yelled at me to go away. She even threatened to call the police, which I actually thought was a good idea, but she never followed through. Finally, I began ringing the bell on the counter, and asked even louder, until guests decided to come check to see what was going on. Adrianne then decided to come to the counter, and was finally calm. At this time I was already on the phone with Wyndham in an attempt to file a complaint. Once I had someone on the phone, and was in the process of filing the complaint, I left. 10-15 minutes after leaving, I received my refund. I’ve been alive for 43 years, served honorably in two different branches of our military. I’ve traveled all over, and this has been by far the worst customer service I’ve ever received. I will NEVER return to this La Quinta, or any other Wyndham location. Good luck!"
"Hotel is in a great location just off route 36. Attractive lobby/ breakfast area, nice big rooms, clean and comfortable. Generous hot breakfast at 7 every morning. Exercise room clean with plenty of machines and nice view of snowy courtyard. Skeleton staff because of storm gave us a room that had not been cleaned at first, then our keys did not work until we swiped them many times. Otherwise friendly and helpful. A few maintenance issues- inner front door stuck open in 17° weather the whole weekend. The lobby was chilly. Great value + friendly staff + comfortable rooms + great location. Would happily stay here again"
"The initial lady who checked us in didn’t show great hospitality. The elevator wasn’t very clean and third floor button was broken. The room was decent but the mini fridge had mold in it which was pretty gross. The room key cards didn’t work so several times we got stuck outside trying to get in through the side doors closer to where we parked. Then the cards didn’t work for our room. They told us the side door was having issues and was demagnetizing the cards. The size of the room was great, the bathroom was clean and the water got really hot instantly! Breakfast was good but got really picked over towards the end. The bed spread had a strange stain we didn’t know what it was. Overall it was good, but there were just enough issues that made the stay less smooth and enjoyable as it could have been."
"Nice hotel for the price and location! We had a decent view of the mountains in the distance from our 3rd floor, which was a bonus that didn't cost extra. I did notice some minor cosmetic things that could be improved in the room, but nothing functionally wrong. Continental breakfast was pretty standard. The front desk staff (both night and day) were very pleasant to interact with. The outdoor pool was drained, despite it still being warm enough to swim. Overall I recommend if you are looking for a reasonable price point and not too focused on luxuries (such as the pool)."
