"As someone who has worked in a gym for the past 21 years I can’t get over how useless the front desk staff is. They don’t greet anyone, they never clean, you ask them a question and they can’t be bothered to help you. They don’t even look at you when you scan in. This gym isn’t worth even as little as $9/month. It’s dirty, packed, machines are constantly down, treadmills are old and usually broken. The attachments for the cable machines are old and breaking down. The locker rooms are absolutely disgusting, I don’t know how anyone can bring themselves to shower there. I know someone who had their car broken into and then stolen from the parking lot. Seriously considering paying a fee just to get out of this place. Save yourself the time and money, go elsewhere, I know I wished I had."
"Great gym, but too small for the amount of people that go there. This gym is always way too packed lots of waiting for a machine. Definitely will not be renewing my membership. Also be aware of cancel fees before signing up. They will get ya."
"I've been a member at a handful of gyms over the years but this one falls last on my list...not for the facilities, but the staff and management. When you sign up, you are given a long contractual agreement that they push you through, failing to note the important "lock in" terms where you basically cannot cancel for a certain amount of time unless you pay a fee. I asked a staff member how to get out of this membership in the least inexpensive way possible, and a staff member kindly recommended that I wait for the 6 month mark to hit so I could avoid the cancellation fee, which made sense because I was on month four. However, this staff member failed to mention an additional 30 day notice cancellation fee as well! Apparently I can schedule a cancellation, but her and I both did not know that and I ended up getting stuck with ANOTHER fee that stacked nicely on top of the other one. When I started asking questions when I found out about this, they pushed me over to their membership line which is an entirely separate company called Paramount (not to mention the staff member helping me was laughing the entire time we were on the phone). These paramount representatives have zero remorse for you and told me it's actually my fault for not reading my contract. I understand how this is so, but it's incredibly frustrating when members of your gym are untrained and unaware of how their own gym's memberships work, and then I have to get penalized for trusting them. Side note: it took Paramount 5 times to finally get ahold of after calling several times during their business hours. What am I saying here? I'm not telling you to avoid VASA, but if you go here please understand that they try to lock you into these membership terms without actually knowing what they're signing you up for because their staff doesn't even work for the same company that manages their memberships."
"I don’t have many issues with this gym. I actually enjoy going there from time to time. But for the life of me I don’t understand how a basketball court can be that poorly taken care of. It’s honestly a safety risk to have a court that dirty and slick. If they invested time to clean and maintain that court i’d have no issues. Also they don’t give out basketballs anymore because “people steal them.” That’s not my problem at all and maybe you should make a system that doesn’t allow for balls to be stolen. For the price you pay you can expect bare minimum but it’s not that hard to clean a court once a day. Maybe would take someone 15 minutes? How is that not apart of the closing routine?"
