"I really, really want to love Heart of Jerusalem but it fails to deliver in both food and service. The appetizers were generally good. The hummus and Baba Ghanoush were tasty. The falafel is cleverly shaped like hearts but was disappointingly bland. Where things really fall apart is HoJ's service. The two waitstaff on the day we visited were curt to the point of being hostile. When my companion asked about tea without sugar the server snapped "You get it the way it comes." The server delivered the wrong food to the table and became visibly angry when we pointed out it was not what we ordered. She made a scene complaining we'd "changed our minds" and then berated us loudly to the other staff and kitchen. I had the lamb and beef/gyro platter and the gyro was weirdly squishy and limp, without much flavor or texture. The entire plate was served as a giant, grey mound that was both unappealing to look at and less appealing to eat. I love Middle Eastern food and Colorado Springs has a number of great Middle Eastern restaurants. With improved service and a focus on presentation and flavor, Heart of Jerusalem could be good. Right now it is not. I'll try it again in a few months to see if they can earn a better rating. Pro tip: I recommend skipping Heart of Jerusalem and trying the Turkish restaurant The Purple Onion - it's a dive but the food is incredible."
"I recently dined at iHeart Jerusalem in Colorado Springs and was thoroughly impressed. The ambiance was inviting, the service was impeccable, and the food was exceptional. Each dish was bursting with authentic flavors, and the attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience was truly commendable. From the warm hospitality to the delightful array of Middle Eastern cuisine, this restaurant exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend iHeart Jerusalem to anyone seeking a memorable and delicious dining experience in Colorado Springs."
"I enjoyed this place so much! The menu options were fantastic. Their kufta and gyro is so good and the heart shaped falafel are so good. They aren't too dense and the crisp fry on them isn't over done. I absolutely adore this place!"
"First timer and let me tell you! What an amazing place to eat! The spice and the flavor is perfect! Two unlimited Gyros and an appetizer! 100% worth it!"
"Amazing food! Our first time trying this establishment we shared the meat plate and the veggie plate. Everything was wonderful! It is a bit pricey ($50 for 2) but it was a wonderful treat and we will return for "date night"!"
