"Aesthetic Dentistry is the BEST and this is why. I am probably close to Guinness world record for dental and oral issues going back to childhood mostly caused by horrific reactions to some foods and meds and now three rounds of lip cancer, along with pretty severe dry mouth and oral lichen planus. My teeth have never had a break. As of yesterday I have ten BEAUTIFUL new crowns, one implant, another coming. Along the road I had a couple of root canals and also two new bridges, and c. 4 cavities over a period of about 5-6 months. An enormously difficult and complex undertaking and Dr. Schmidt and Lara were AMAZING. They knew they had to get the bite just right and they did. They always covered me with a warm, heavy blanket, let me put on my music with their Boise (?) speakers, and gave me a warm cloth to wipe my face when they were finished with my 2-4 hour appointments. Throughout the numerous surgical procedures they ALWAYS asked me if I was ok or how was I doing or did I need a break. I have seen so many dentists in my life time and have never gotten near this level of kindness and caring. And they educate you along the way as to what you should do to avoid cavities and better ways to take care of your teeth. The BEST! (Plus they are fun and the office has a great vibe.) Yes, initially there was a lot of unfortunate confusion about the billing process or procedures but that eventually got straightened out."

"I’m a new patient with Dr. Schmidt and have been very impressed with her and the practice. I first saw Dr. Schmidt for an exam and second opinion regarding a tooth that needed work due to a cavity forming below the existing filling. It was easy to schedule an appointment, the staff was lovely, and the initial exam was very thorough and included taking pictures of all my teeth. I scheduled a follow up visit and Dr. Schmidt repaired the cavity by removing the existing amalgam filling, drilling out the cavity, and putting in a new composite filling. The entire procedure was 100% pain free, and as pleasant as these procedures can be. No waiting, very efficient, good explanations of what was being done and what to expect, all my questions were answered, and just really well done overall. I never felt any pain after the procedure and the new filling feels great the morning after. I’m going back shortly to have a crown put on a different tooth and feel very comfortable doing that after my initial experience. I’m a very detail oriented person and really like the way Dr. Schmidt and her staff approach patients and what they do. Had I used the dentist I saw just before Dr. Schmidt I’d very likely have wound up with a crown on the tooth that she was able to repair with a filling - saving me significant money and preserving more of the tooth. My takeaway is that she’s genuinely committed to doing what’s in the best interest of her patients, rather than trying to maximize her revenue. Dr. Schmidt came highly recommended and it’s easy to understand why after my first visits with her. I’m looking forward to a having her and her staff take care of my mouth and teeth for years to come."

"I really thought I’d hit a home run with this place. The employees were friendly and the dental work was great. HOWEVER, I’ve gotten a complete runaround when it has come to my bill. I chose a dentist making sure they were in network with my insurance. The amount I was quoted for my crown differed from the amount I was billed. I tried leaving messages numerous times to find out what was going on without success. It wasn’t until I was in tears begging someone to call me back that I finally received a call back. The differing amount was then taken care of. When I came back for my cleaning, I paid for what my insurance didn’t cover that day. I then received a bill. I’ve tried numerous times leaving messages to find out why. I finally talked to someone in Michigan that handles the billing. She told me I wasn’t in network and that was the reason for the differing amount. After that conversation I checked to see if I received email correspondence or written correspondence of this change and I did not. I went through every Informed Delivery email checking for mail received, as well as my emails, but there was nothing. I’ve yet to hear back about this. This situation has extremely stressed me out. I have been reduced to tears numerous times just trying to get a call back, literally begging for a call back, to no avail. I really do not understand what the issue is or what I’ve done to deserve this lack of respect. I’ve had a hard time since moving here and this just added to it. The lack of response is completely unprofessional and I guess I now have another thing back on my plate of finding a new dentist. And let me just add that I have a list of autoimmune conditions. I cannot express how upsetting it is that healthcare professionals have little regard for your health. The first time this happened (not getting a call back) I explicitly stated how it had stressed me out. That I had to go through this forcing me to find a new dentist is unacceptable. It’s also unacceptable I had to express this on a review and was not given an opportunity to express this to the office directly. I would’ve found a new dentist that took my insurance and recommended this office to others but I can’t possibly do that after this experience."

"Dr. Schmidt and her staff are always so welcoming and friendly. From Nina, their wonderful Hygienist, Laura, Dr. Schmidt's fantastic assistant and their front office staff. They all are great. Dr. Schmidt has been able to correct previous dental work, helped with preventative care and deeper dental issues as well. I cannot recommend Aesthetic Dentistry and Dr. Schmidt more."
