"My daughter brought me here and this was the best experience.I've had in eating place in a very long time. I had the BLT+A, OH DANG WHAT A GREAT SANDWICH. The only bad thing is that they did not have any margin. I am lactose intolerant and would like to have had some margin or another thing to put on my potato. Luckily, my sandwich was loaded with bacon, and I broke one of the pieces up into my potato. Would highly recommend Mcalister's for lunch."
"I always do an order all online and then I pick it up. For some reason the system was showing that my credit card wasn’t accepted. I tried this. Form of payment four times before I check my credit cards and see that I was being charged each time.. I was incomplete panic as who wants to deal with credit card companies.. my husband went down there to explain what was going on. He immediately asked for the manager and the owner came out. This man’s name is Scott not only did he take the time to figure out what was going on with me and my husband he literally gave my husband at least $70 worth of food for free for the hassle…. this gentleman made sure that our food was made exquisitely he handed it to my husband with a smile… I know that the amount of food that he gave us was a lot because what I originally ordered was only $44. My Husband came back with two extra large drinks dessert and soup along with what we already previously ordered again the owner Scott did this for us because I was so stressed out about what was going to happen with the charges, of course the following day the pending charges dropped and disappeared. This review is very important because today everybody is full of greed and selfish today. Restaurants want to make food and charge an obscene amount of money. I know times are hard and Scott the owner gave this food to me and my family , without even thinking of it, Grand Junction has changed and it’s so sad. What’s happened to this town but it’s so nice to see that somebody in this town is still the same. We will always be great supporters of McAllister‘s."
"Everyone loves McAlister's iced tea, it's one of the things they're the most famous for. I'm not big into sandwiches so it was not one of my go-to spots for lunch. One of my friends wanted to pop in and get a soup and sandwich combo so, as I was not very hungry, l agreed to meet her there. At first glance the menu is just sandwiches. Upon closer perusal, l discovered they have interesting baked potato toppings, several soup choices, and an insane variety of salads! Of course they had the traditional Chef, Chicken, and Caesar, but the Pecan Berry is to die for! Fresh crisp greens, strawberry slices, candied pecans, blueberries, grilled chicken and a nice variety of dressings, including the raspberry, pecan vinaigrette which is what I chose. My friend ordered the chicken dumpling soup with the grilled chicken sandwich. The soup was served piping hot with steam curling over the bowl. It was a bit chilly out so I asked for a taste and it was so yummy! I felt like I could drink a gallon of just the broth. Thick and creamy with plenty of flavor, this soup reminded me of a southern style, homemade chicken and dumplings. The only disappointment was in the half a French Dip sandwich l ordered to accompany my salad. Not a fan of red meat but once in a while I do like a French Dip. The bread was very good, thick and crusty with the right amount of melting when dipped into the au jus. The meat however, was chewy, flat and flavorless. It was so awful, l was only able to eat one or two bites before putting it away. The service was excellent! We were greeted, with friendly smiles, by multiple staff members, and our order was taken efficiently. We received our food in a timely fashion and two different staff members checked on us while we were eating. It was not very busy as we went about 10:45 on a Monday morning. The restrooms were spotless and it was nice being able to access our beverages in a self-serve capacity. This McAlister's had indoor and outdoor seating, and the atmosphere is conducive to either a business meeting or a simple get together with friends or acquaintances. My friends and I will definitely eat here again so that we may experience the wonderful staff, relaxing environment, delicious salads and tasty soups."
"We visited here last weekend! Always love me some McAlister’s! I always get the same thing! Chef salad yum! We took my niece here for her first time. She loved it! Jackie took our order. She was very friendly and helpful. She went out of her way customer service and friendly ness wise! Thank you! Also love love the mini remodel!"
"It's good food, but the last time we were there we got served food with a hair in it. We asked for a replacement which they provided, but it had a different piece of hair in it! None of the kitchen staff are wearing hair nets and it seems to show... When the food doesn't have hair in it, it's delicious."
