"Beautiful, busy little touristy town. Free gondola ride to top of Telliride slope-trail. Steep, long walk back down. Ride the gondola back unless you want to think you are on the trail that never ends - especially if you have a slow-moving lazy basset hound... or a child. It was stormy the day we visited, so we didn't do much but ride through the town and ride the gondola and make a long - yet pretty - and agonizing hike down "short" Telluride slope. "Short" is their choice of words, not mine. We got some breakfast at this very busy morning Cafe - one of what seemed to be 1000 places to eat (exaggerated)! It's a neat town. I'm glad we went. You could spend more than a day if you take in activities."
