"We just finished our Slovenian Alps adventure with Ryder Walker and couldn't be happier. Especially the quality of guiding that they provide, which leads to all these small details you could never imagine that make the trip so memorable. Gregor, you are the absolute man, thank you for everything you did to make our journey epic beyond all proportions. I will specifically be requesting you on our next adventure because i've never met a man with such attention to detail, care for each hiker, and a pure excitement and joy for life on the trails. The Turkish coffee hand brewed on the mountain peaks was a standout memory for me. Thanks Gregor, and thanks Ryder Walker. Pure professionals!"
"Just received a brochure from Ryder Walker and it brought back all the frustration we had with Ryder Walker in the coordination of our July 2022 TMB trip. We booked early with them which should have given them plenty of time to arrange our lodging. Many phone calls later I was told that we would have to day hike because the Rifugio was not getting back to them. I emailed the Rifugio directly and they got back to me immediately reserving 6 beds. Ryder gave the wrong dates to the luggage transported company and we had to coordinate with them directly. We had to stay off the TMB one night because RW waited to long to reserve our room. Bottom line save yourself frustration and $3,000. It is so easy to book the trip online & know that the arrangement have been confirmed. Ryder Walker did not add any value. The TMB is amazing. I would highly recommend going just do it yourself."
"I can't say enough good things about Ryder-Walker. From start to finish, the staff at RW was courteous, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and helpful. We hiked the Hikers' Haute Route from Chamonix to Zermatt, and we hiked solo rather than with a group. RW booked our hotels, hostels and huts, arranged for luggage transfers, and gave advice whenever I asked for it. They were persistent in finding us rooms in their favorite places, even being waitlisted at one hotel that eventually opened up in time for our trip. Everything worked out perfectly. More importantly, they found charming places to stay that offered dinner and breakfast, and mapped out our route in 8 days, giving recommendations about how to abbreviate the entire hike, which usually lasts 11-12 days rather than our 8 day hike. I am certain that we could not have had such a great trip without Ryder Walker. I am also convinced that we were booked into nicer rooms because we were with RW rather than just solo travelers who showed up dusty and tired. Their expertise was absolutely invaluable in planning this trip. I will definitely book again with Ryder Walker! What a fantastic organization, what an EPIC TRIP made better and easier with Ryder Walker. I am so grateful."
"I have used Ryder-Walker for two separate self-guided trekking vacations for me and a good friend. The first was a 5-night trip to the Jungfrau region in the Swiss Alps and was amazing (the best trip of my life, so far!). We just returned from a 4-night trek in Cinque Terre, Italy that rivaled it. The accommodations they booked for us were wonderful and luggage transfers well-orchestrated so we could hike with only a day pack and end up in a new town at night with our luggage waiting for us! The hikes were well thought-out and included things we almost certainly would have missed had we been doing it on our own. I cannot recommend them enough! We are already trying to figure out which trek to go on next...."
"Best organized self guided trip ever!"
