"Disappointed my children didn’t have the experience I was hoping for through the swim lessons. There was no authority in the classes and quite unstructured. Coming from a different swim location I felt my boys regressed in their swim abilities and it was not worth the switch in swim locations. In a 30 minute class there was less than 5 minutes of swim technique taught. I have loved so many other aspects of south suburban rec centers but swim lessons was not a highlight."
"Management can't even follow their own guidelines and rule book. You can be 10yrs old to swim without a parent but can't shoot a basketball by yourself and practice your craft. They continually kick kids out of this location and yell and scream at children for being in their facility, even when their parents are there supervising. A rec center is supposed to be a safe place for kids and people to go do activities that keep them out of trouble. This location caters to the geriatric community. Any time one of the old timers whines about kids being around, managers run to stop the kids from having fun or enjoying activities. If your into 80yr old people hogging every workout machine and chatting it up with their buddies like it's Sunday morning at the breakfast palace then this is the gym for you. If you are 60 and over it is a wonderful place to weave your baskets and hit your pickleballs. If you have a family with children I would highly recommend you find another place to spend your money."
"It’s a 50/50 if you’ll be able to actually get your membership to work here. I signed up in May and they immediately canceled my membership for no reason. Then today I came in and tried to re set it up. The man tried to make me run my card 3 times. After it charged me the first time I refused to run it again. No one working the front desk knows what they’re doing. It shouldn’t be this hard to give them money. I would avoid this location. Edit: they charged my card 3 times and are still saying the payment never went through. I went in person to my bank where they explained that the charge went through. I then had the bank teller get on the phone with the registration person and explain to them that the charge went through. She still is claiming it didn’t and that I owe them money. This location is running a scam. Avoid giving them any of your money. They will pretend they didn’t get it, even after you have the bank prove that they did. All this for $40. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!"
"The swimming pool is awesome, love the lazy River, the slide was intense!! The water is a little on the cooler side and when we went the first time we didn’t bring towels. We were told we could buy some at the front and they ending up not having any, which we found out after my daughter and I got in the pool. They gave us some coats to dry off with. It should be communicated to newcomers that there are or are not towels available to rent."
"Very nice, reception was lovely and welcoming and locker rooms are clean. They have a great policy limiting quantity of people so masks are optional. The receptionist told us that we got the "last four spots" and the pool was "crazy" today and I counted 20 to 25 people including the parents watching. Haha! They've obviously never been to a rec center in Aurora for the definition of a "crazy" pool environment. So, what I'm saying is that the pool experience was great and felt safe since kids were not crawling over each other. The pool was smaller than it looked online, it was hard to tell from online photos. Spray feature wasn't on today. Lots of chlorine. Overall this place is great, I loved the huge fields outside."
