"Rated this place two stars for the friendly staff. I was very much looking forward to this place, even though the prices of the açai bowls kind of diverted me from wanting to try it out, but I gave it a shot, and I am highly disappointed. It is unfortunate that I had to wait almost 25 minutes for a $16 açai bowl that barely had any toppings. I had to even request a little bit more of a topping I ordered and paid extra for. I don’t know why it took so long to get the açai bowl and I did see that the reviews mentioned a wait time but I figured that was going to be more for hot food, which would make sense. It’s nice to see the owner defending their employees on negative reviews but the wait time is very outrageous especially because it wasn’t that busy in the restaurant. Something needs to improve on that as well as the presentation of the açai bowls and the amount of toppings that are used considering this is one of the most expensive açai bowls I’ve ever come across in my life and it was also the one that liked the most ingredients. if I choose to try out the other food this place has to offer. I will definitely be ordering ahead. I hope that the staff doesn’t take my review the wrong way and can improve on the weight times, at least for a simple, açai bowl."

"We love stopping here every time we drive through Golden. The food is delicious and the acai bowls are great! It takes a long time to get your food so I would plan to wait for at least 15 mins if not 20 to get anything back (including smoothies). They have a dog-friendly outdoor seating area (no dogs allowed inside), and there is a seating area inside too. This place is best as a take-out spot, since the parking can be tough, but the food is just so good... We stop every time."

"I had the Poke Bowl. The fish was fresh and tender, the rice was nice and firm/moist. The cucumbers were fresh and crispy. There was also Mac-and-cheese which added a nice fusion. The Poke bowl was nicely seasoned and came with soy sauce. They also have sriracha and other sauce available to grab and place in the dish. The staff were super friendly and efficient! The food is reasonably priced- in the middle of Golden, also in comparison to other Poke Shops. Thank you Kona Bowl for great food, chill environment, and great energy! -Corey"

"PBBJ for the win! If you are a peanut butter lover you are going to love this! It had the freshest fruit and smoothest base. The staff was all females and you could tell they all got along. It was fun walking in, they had the music up and smiles on, I knew it was going to be made to perfection. I will for sure keep this place on the top of my list when visiting Golden again."

"Got the sunrise brekkie Buddha bowl. Very impressed with the quantity and quality of the food. In total we got two bowls and a smoothie and it came to $44. A little steep but the ingredients are very fresh in the restaurant is lovely. It was a pretty long wait, about 20 minutes. I played the uke while we waited (nice touch). They have some cool merch for sale. It's located on the main drag in Golden, so it's nice to sit streetside and watch the town go by. Would highly recommended this place."
