Primary Healthcare

Primary Healthcare, located at 7555 Hickman Road in Urbandale, Iowa, is a health institution dedicated to providing comprehensive and inclusive healthcare services for all individuals.

Starting in April 2024, Primary Health Care’s Midwifery & Women’s Health department will offer group prenatal visits for expecting mothers through the Centering Pregnancy program. Participants will receive personalized clinical care along with group activities and discussions with other expectant moms in the same stage of pregnancy.

The institution also offers Arthritis-Appropriate, Evidence-Based Interventions (AAEBIs) to improve arthritis symptoms, such as pain or limitations in function. These programs, recorded on February 19, 2024, meet specific criteria and can be conducted in various settings including community-based, clinical, and virtual settings.

As part of the CDC’s “End the HIV Epidemic” initiative, Primary Healthcare is actively working to address disparities in HIV diagnoses among Black/African American populations. The institution aims to provide information and support for prevention, testing, care, and treatment of HIV.
