"If I could give this store a negative rating, I would! Earlier in the month I was at this store with my grandchildren after picking them up from school. We have shopped there quite often in the past. I needed some items for our small businesses. On this particular day, as we were walking through the store, we (and everyone else shopping there at that time) could hear two women in the "office" area talking very loudly to each other about how the corporate office wants them to handle active shooter situations. Their voices & conversation were so loud that they were carrying all over the store. The walls of the "office" don't reach the ceiling and because the floors are concrete, the sound echoes throughout the store. They, of course, were oblivious to this fact and so they kept on talking as if no one could hear them. They were also talking about people who might exhibit inappropriate sexual behavior. Since I didn't want my grand children subjected to their inappropriate conversation, I tried distracting them with conversation of our own, but it was too late. My grandchildren had heard their conversation & one (7yrs old) was scared to the point of tears & wanting to leave the store right away. As we made our way to the cashier, the loud and inappropriate conversation from the two women in the "office" continued, so I loudly shushed them. They briefly stopped talking, but then started up again, even louder! I then called to them to stop talking because they were scaring my grand children. The office manager then came storming out of her office yelling, telling me that she could carry on any conversation she wished & if I and my grand children didn't like it, we could leave "her store". I got her name and have emailed a complaint to the company's CEO. I guess it's ok with that company to hire individuals who can't and won't exhibit professional behavior. It's sad that just because it's a discount store, consumers have to be subjected to employees who can't and won't use common sense when discussing sensitive issues involving corporate policies. I guess those In higher corporate positions don't mind losing customers because of unprofessional, unprincipled and socially ignorant employees."
