"Wow. Reading reviews brought us to try this place out and we could not be more pleased with every element of our experience. The hospitality from the moment we walked it was genuinely welcoming. As a party of 7 we assumed a long wait once we ordered dinner but we were wrong - service was quick without compromise! Flavors and presentation were delightful and authentic! "My sister recommended I check this place out while staying in Cortez. What a great suggestion. We enjoyed everything we tried. I had the Carne Asada Burrito. My kids had the chicken quesadilla and cheese enchiladas. My wife tried a shrimp taco special they had written on the chalkboard. It was all really good. The burrito was good sized, but especially when I realized the stuffing was literally just carne asada. The beans and rice, guacamole and Pico were all on the side and the cheese and sauce were on top. So all the filling in that good sized burrito was meat. Portions were good on everything. Our server was nice and attentive. We all left happy."

"We’re staying in Cortez and decided to try La Casita - Wow!!! So good and the service is wonderful. Food was fresh, portions are huge and so much flavor. Loved their salsa refried beans and chips they served free at seating. My hubby got the shredded chicken tacos and shrimp cocktail. I got a veggie burrito, yum. Their house margarita was delicious too!! Definitely worth the visit, we’ll go back!"

"Loved it! We were immediately seated and our server was the most friendliest and sweetest man ever! He made us laugh so many times and it was such a welcoming and comfortable vibe here. We had margaritas and I would highly recommend the Cortez. Delicious! We also received complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were still warm and the house salsa was amazing! Everything we ordered was wonderful and we tried the desserts as well. The Churros with ice cream was my favorite and I would pass on the flan. Make sure this is one of your stops! Your belly will thank you!"
