"When we first moved here , we were very excited to try an Italian restaurant that was five minutes away. That was about a year ago and we were both very underwhelmed by the extremely bland food, slow service and just the general feeling of the place was off. Right after leaving we decided that was our one and done which was disappointing because we were really hoping to love it and go at least one a week But when I found out there was a new owner we decided to try it again. WOW, what a difference a new owner makes!! We went yesterday and right away the atmosphere was so amazing and inviting with the fantastic singer who is there on the weekends. The entire place seemed to breathe a new life. It was busy with big tables and the place was filing up with customers. Our server Rahem was SO amazing and took the best care of us. He was so friendly and has a fantastic personality helping with decisions. The food was nothing short of some of the absolute best Italian I've has in a while! The lobster shrimp ravioli had me saying " oh my gosh this the BEST " with every bite and my husbands white pizza had him wanting to eat more even though he already ate half!! I can't wait to go back and support this local restaurant that is now a place I'll look forward to going to with excitement! A huge Thank You to this new owner, the chef for a new amazing menu and food, to the awesome singer and wonderful wait staff for turning this place around!! We needed this in Castle Pines!!☆☆☆☆☆"
"You so much want to enjoy a restaurant that is close to you, but unfortunately not. We were seated for our reservation at a nice, sturdy wooden table. After about 15 minutes, we were asked what wine. We told the waitress the Heitz Cellar. She came back a few minutes later to report that was no longer available. We chose The Prisoner. The silverware unfortunately was mismatched, smaller than one would expect, and from Sam's Club. The silverware did not complement the nice tables. She asked if we wanted appetizers. I had a coupon for the bruschetta but we opted for the (4) Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms. They had a lot of meat but the meat had no flavor. A gentleman came to our table - they were doing a Spelling Bee raffle. All I could think of - I came to eat, not do homework. The restaurant was already loud and we could not understand what he was saying. We ordered the Chicken Parmigiana and Cannelloni Toscana Grande. Unfortunately the Cannelloni Toscana Grande was filled with the bland sausage. And the plate was very hot - I am always cautious if a restaurant that serves on a very hot plate. The saving grace was the marinara - this was delicious. Halfway through the meal, Dimas (owner) dropped off some bread and butter. Last time we were here, the bread was brought at the beginning of the meal. Then we ordered a coffee and cheesecake for dessert. It took about about 10 minutes - bringing out the coffee first and a couple minutes later, the cheesecake. Maybe we will go back, I wanted to try the Grande Lasagna Della Nonna - it does not seem to contain the sausage."
"This is one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been to!! Fabulous atmosphere! Food, prices, service & Saturdays with Sal!! The lobster ravioli's with shrimp is amazing. I ate EVERYTHING, the large chunks of garlic in the sauce was amazing. My husband got steak ravioli's and asked our daughter for some her noodles so he could finish the sauce on his plate. Such a great place. Thanks Katie, you were so attentive & provided the BEST service!"
"I ordered takeout for the first time. I was waiting outside for the pick up time, the owner came out to my car to deliver my food which was very nice! However, the pizza was extremely greasy. I folded my pizza in half and a large amount of grease wrung out. While it was good tasting, it made me quite sick. We also ordered chicken fettuccine Alfredo. The chicken itself had an odor and was not trimmed properly for a pasta. I picked the chicken out since it tasted weird to me, then decided to try the rest of the pasta. The pasta was very buttery and the sauce wouldn’t stick to the noodles. EDITED (in response to owner comment): I arrived 10 minutes before my order was supposed to be ready, which is why I was waiting in my car.. To deflect my concerns with a rating on doordash is not holding yourself accountable. Sure. If you add mounds of butter and oil onto food, it’ll taste good but is that level of grease necessary? It truly made me sick."
